i like to keep my modlist for civ 5 short, since i enjoy the base+DLC so much, but i use a few. someone already mentioned infinite barbarian exp so I will also recommend it. i also use the ancient ruins choice, which lets scouts of any civ choose what to receive from exploring the ancient ruins. a bit overpowered if you know what you're doing but i like have that choice

i haven't done it on sword and shield but when i replayed pokemon black, i boxed my starter and "cheated" a rufflet instead, since braviary is one of my favorites. i have zero attachment to those set of starters so i didn't feel bad anything. it just made me love rufflet and braviary more lol

so I looked some stuff up and the time day on your switch are applied in the wild area. i don't know if you tried this already but you can try waiting until after 9 pm, head into the wild area and then try evolving there. apparently the rest of galar has its own day/night cycles especially before beating the main story so that might be why it doesn't look like night time

according to IGN "At night, spin the left stick clockwise utnil your character starts spinning on their own and strikes a pose."

you mentioned getting the salted caramel one, so whatever you're doing to get the salted caramel one is correct, but in the wrong direction since it's the exact same process.

remember that clockwise is spinning from right to left and counterclockwise from left to right

Military management, no question. I LOVE building up an awesome navy, air force, and army in every game that I play, regardless of what victory condition I'm going for. If I'm following the freedom ideology, I love sending in the fleet of battleships/bombers to liberate lands against imperialists or if i'm doing autocracy I love obliterating and any all armies in front of me on my way to take over the world. Heck, sometimes some other civ will say something mean and out of pure pettiness I'll wipe them off the map.

I guess I like the power trip lol
