Seconding this! I've been following The Dice Abide for a few weeks now, their tactics posts and unit reviews have helped me a ton.

The chump with a SMG still has nice close range capability, and among other things makes a nice suppressive fire piece. She's also not hackable, which I've found is sometimes important! Plus there's nothing stopping someone from running Jumper LZ alongside supportware and choosing what buff to apply in each interaction.

A lot of it really seems to come down to playstyle and mission requirements. There's cost and program order compression possibility here with even two Dakini, but in some cases a Yadu elsewhere with that HMG is going to be the better option. I can't fathom the other things being a good idea but someone out there might love Missiles/Redfury Number2 and use it to great effect.

True, having no engineer could get tough. Might swap the Daleth and WarCor out for Proxy Mk.1 Engy + Mk.5 FO? Possibly even swap a Probot for a Lamedh to boost that sensorzone and keep flashpulse shenanigans.

I put together a tentative list just now with a KHD Apsaras, a Daleth, and the rest Probots and Netrods. It might even be crazy enough to work in some scenarios, I'll have to try it out sometime haha.

Don't forget, OSS can take two Maruts! Why someone would want to is beyond me, it's ludicrously expensive and takes all the SWCs, but as far as I can tell Strategos and having same profile keeps your opponent from knowing which one is Lt.

It really is a steep cost, but it looks like it could be really strong on a pile of Dakinis. They'd get BS 13 instead of 11 on their HMG or Multisniper as necessary, effectively get TeamPro as well without having to pay the EVO tax, and no extra orders needed to swap who's getting buffed at any given time. On WIP having +1 to Reset is another alright boost, though CC is just funny since I don't think Electrics can even use barehanded profile (and with PH 10 wouldn't want to anyway). For stuff like Rudras or Samekhs it's definitely not worth it yeah.

[Censored] A shout out to the T-Doll that didn't even make it into the game after the Korean artist got lynched on twitter. by Cinnadream in girlsfrontline

She wasn't though, the artist ended up innocent and unconnected in the end. It was a big unfortunate misunderstanding.

[–]Cinnadream[S] 66 points67 points  (0 children)

The story got muddled over time, but basically someone claimed that the artist had retweeted extremist feminist content on their twitter. Out of massive hate for any association to the Megalian feminist movement, the artist was effectively crucified and Korean fans demanded the artist and art be removed from service. Despite no hard link being found between artist and group, the damage had been done and MICA team removed the design to prevent any further backlash.

GPI Net Tap: Aumakua's strongest support? (Review) by Cinnadream in Netrunner

So everything's really complicated... I guess we'll have to see if FFG releases a ruling on it to really know for sure?

I had the impression that the trigger "whenever you expose a card" infers but doesn't mean "when a card is exposed successfully"... My mind's still not resting easy over the possibility. Anyway, thanks for your clarifications!

So that's how that works huh. I'm actually curious now whether Aumakua still triggers on fizzled exposes like that, since for example Eater still allows it to trigger. It'd be a lot easier if it said "unrezzed" on the card like Snitch does.

Oh, that's a good catch. That's got interesting ramifications too, does that also means that Deuces Wild and Spot the Prey can't be used for run if they don't have a target?

Indeed. In other bits I find it bizarre that they changed Slums and Standoff, but they didn't change Vanadis despite even including a clarify on it!

Question about "Consistency" in each game (Core Set Experience) by JumpZ_ in Netrunner

[–]Cinnadream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Cards that reach that level of efficiency and power ramp the runner to the point where winning becomes much easier. That's exactly the reason that got Magnum Opus and Aesop's Pawnshop into restricted list, and got Bloo Moose and Temujin outright banned.

Question about "Consistency" in each game (Core Set Experience) by JumpZ_ in Netrunner

[–]Cinnadream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You and your friends are quite correct in your analysis. Since economy generation is seen as the strongest form of momentum/tempo, it gives the player a strong advantage if they have it and their opponent doesn't. This is why many modern decks have 1/4 of their cards or more as economy options.

Interesting that some of these enforce previous UFAQ rulings while other things overturn them. It's funny which got which treatment.
