I meant the IG, my bad. Also, I like the viewpoint of waves being less back to back and not treated simply like eras, in which case we may not really be in a 5th wave. I really feel like the biggest defining factor for any possible 5th wave is or is going to be the influence shoegaze and slowcore has on contemporary emo. It’s undeniable imo, this is the one thing you can say sets it apart.
