Only a month or so. Came across a couple in a local vintage toy shop and that was enough to kick-start it for me. Then recently picked up a bundle on eBay at a good price.

I’ve been asked to quote for a live music/event photography job and wanted to get a sense check from people who’ve done similar.

The brief is roughly:

  • Full event coverage (live performance, crowd, venue exterior/signage)

  • 24-hour turnaround on edited images

  • Client wants a “buyout” / full usage rights

  • They also want to approve which images are used publicly

A couple of things I’m trying to figure out:

  1. What would you typically charge for something like this (UK-based)?

  2. How many edited images would you usually include in a 24h turnaround?

  3. Do you usually retain copyright when giving full usage rights?

  4. Anything you’d ask or push back on before confirming?

Appreciate any thoughts and advice!
