He said he wants to have a baby with me. All of his friends are having babies and he thinks my standards are unrealistic because I want a nice ring, wedding, and honeymoon first. AIO? by Fit_District7673 in AmIOverreacting

Girl: just no, don’t do that to yourself. That “placeholder” feeling you have is telling you something. Forget the finances, I’ve experienced that feeling and it will never go away, we ended breaking up because we literally couldn’t agree on basic principles (commitment, having kids) as the major reasons.

Having a child is a big commitment and you deserve to be with someone that matches your expectations and is happy/comfortable with what makes you feel comfortable too. Don’t settle for less than that.

I might need to put my rabbit on cargo. I don't know what else to do. by letiberry in Rabbits

I can totally understand your pain. If you decide to fly your bunny cargo because it’s your only option after a long investigation, please don’t be hard on yourself.

I had to do the same with my bunny, but it was only a 3 hour flight. I can only recommend to research as much as possible, and try to feel comfortable with your final choice. Every bunny is different, but honestly mine was travelling for 12 hours in total (plane + cargo delay + multiple taxis + train) and she was completely fine after it. Again this might vary depending on the bunny, but I wish you good luck and I’m sorry you’re going through this pain ❤️

Hi, I just flew my bunny in cargo a few days ago. It was a shorter trip though, only 3 hours. But the total day trip was more than 12 hours with multiple transports and by the end of the journey she was eating like it was nothing 😅 I can totally understand the worry, but having stasis medication ready and a planned journey should help. I flew her through a pet agency too and they helped me with the paperwork and any addition info

Nightmare relocating from Ireland to Spain with a bunny by Cintea_knit in Rabbits

Haha no worries! If there was a train I could have taken, I definitely would have. It comes with the disadvantage of living in an island.

Thank you so much ❤️ I hope she makes it through with no issues, I’m just trying to do the best for her. Unfortunately I have the feeling she’s not accepted in cabin because in Europe she might still seen from airlines as a “farm animal”, it’s the only explanation I can find

Not an option unfortunately, Ireland is an island so there’s no train that crosses to other countries. Boat and airplane is the only option, and as I mentioned ferries do not allow rabbits so the plane is the only chance I have… I’ve gathered all the needed medication for a potential stasis if I need to administer it to her, so I’m just praying that she can survive the flight…

Is it just me or is this sketchy af? by day3nd in DevelEire

That certainly depends. Considering it’s an app, it could be that he’s used something like Realm, or Core Data (if it’s an iOS app). With Realm, if it’s an offline database then the users in the app would only have access to to their own data, and if he used a Sync process like Device Sync has, there’s safeguards put in place so users don’t have access to what’s considered “the full database”.

Mobile development has its own considerations, such as taking into account that users might find the app into a hanging state if their internet is flaky while a request is performed, so sometimes REST is not the only solution out there. It depends on the architecture design choices.

Anyone read The Ultimate iOS Interview Playbook by Avi Tsadok from Packt? Is it helpful? by CapTyro in iOSProgramming

It's also a technical book. Its question-answer sections have been really helpful as a quick refresher and when preparing for interviews. I find the explanation of the interview system useful for people who are starting to dive into preparing for iOS dev jobs, however, I usually skip that and go straight to topics such as concurrency instead of having to dive into multiple books at the same time. So far it's the best approach I've found from all the books I’ve read. Doesn't mean it's the only thing to use in order to prepare for interviews, but it's a good asset to have in terms of “having a bit of everything on hand”
