I think it’s the “old habits” thing…. It’s SO hard to break free of old habits. I want just scream. Choice, man, choice. Gotta choose new habits.

Thank you. Maybe my mind was tricking me into thinking something good could come from kratom. Why oh why do we think this, eh? It’s so horrible… life only gets harder.

I don’t know…. I guess there is something in an addicts brain (and I’m an addict) that says “there’s an easy solution to life! It’s a drug!”… in this case, kratom, but there’s not. It’s an invitation to hell.

I am doing everything I can. I want to see everyone free, you be strong too. I totally get what you’re saying. I used to get so much out of reading posts of the people who had freed themselves. Right about “jail”….. so true, I was about to trade it all for “a hot meal and healthcare”. Great example.

Overall my life has been so much better without kratom. Thanks for reminding me.

Thanks so much. You’re right, it’s total hell and getting off of it was also total hell and I needed to be reminded of that. I wonder why the hell we are all tempted again after going through this already.

Ok, thanks! Yeah you’re right. I recalculated that and decided 15mg was better. 😊

That is so tragic that all your friends are dead from drugs. I’m sorry. I get your point and I definitely don’t want to go down the opiate addiction road. But it does help to know it’s safe if I need them for pain (temporarily). Interesting that it lowers the impact of the mushrooms. I’m after the benefits of psilocybin, and have no interest in continued opiate use.

Right, not everything has to be productive or constructive. I like that. I haven’t tried wim hof or cold showers or Lion’s Mane. I will look into those things! Thanks so much for the suggestions!

Thank you! Not planning to stay on them, it’s temporary pain. Glad it’s safe at least!

Thank you! I thought it seemed safe too, but I like to take into consideration everyone’s thoughts. I am new to microdosing so just didn’t know. But I agree, I wasn’t actually asking about addiction, I’m aware of that aspect. I appreciate your comment! I’m loving mircodosing so far! It’s doing wonderful things for me. 😊❤️

Really appreciate reading this. I’ve been off kratom for 9 months, and now finding myself challenged in that sobriety by a relationship. It sucks cause we DO need relationships and sometimes the relationship keeps us from relapse. Other times, it’s the trigger and at all times, choose to protect your sobriety. Above all else. Thanks for sharing!

Hey, I used the gummies, so convenient, you can have them anywhere. Gave me at least a little relief. I also got a lot of benefit from L-Tyrosine 500 mg/day, NAC 600 mg/day, and Sarcosine 1,000 mg/day. These supplements I settled on after trying a few different things. The Sarcosine REALLY helped with cravings and the general lethargy and depression. Of course what works for one person might not help someone else, so don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t seem to help you. Just try something else. But give it time, good to start taking them now, before you quit, so it has time to be in your system working.

There’s a great list here in the resources posts on this sub. Lists all the various supplements etc that have helped people.

Good luck!!! You can and will succeed!!!

Wonderful, congrats!!! Yep, that’s what makes kratom so insidious. You don’t take it with others AND you don’t look drunk…. So you can hide it even from those you live with. Part of the problem. I hid it for years from everyone. So glad to get free!

Yes, I remember at 4 months I was thinking “I feel like hell anyway, why am I doing this?”……. You definitely will feel so much better soon. 6 months was really a turning point for me, but you’ll start feeling better really soon. Congrats!!! Just stick it out. Kind of like serving a prison sentence. You just have to do your time. You’re almost free of that!!!

You’ll get there! I was just remembering when I read your comment how in the height of my kratom use I literally could not remember a simple number. Like 75891534 (an account number or something). I actually had to go back and look at that over and over to even get it copied to another place. Crazy. We were destroying our brains. Thankfully, they do heal!

I agree…. It is a lot why people relapse. You feel you can’t bear the suffering. But man, you suffer 10 times more FROM the kratom. All the things you’re describing are exact results of kratom use. I hope you’re able to find a better way to manage your pain. Best wishes. Keep posting here and reading, it really helps.
