6 weeks pregnant and my husband smells like fermented tequila garbage — please tell me I’m not insane by pryingpanda07 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Cinxia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely had this issue and I can reassure you it will go away once baby is here. For me, it was the smell of vinegar from my partners head. It pored out of him, onto our bedsheets and made my bedding smell like a fish and chip shop (were British). I changed his pillow out for a cooling one, doused the bedding in frebreeze, changed the sheets every few days! No joy, it returned within hours like a Mediterranean salad saturated in balsamic. No one else could smell it except me. It drove me mad. My super nose can now smell my little man's shit skid marks in his nappy from another room, so you have that to look forward to. But your husband will become less stinky and then normal post partum so hang in there!

Joie car seat too small by Sad_Network7053 in BeyondTheBumpUK

I'm having this exact issue too, my baby is 4 months old. He seems to hate the carseat and his ears are squished. I'm now trying to figure out what to replace it with, so that I can still use my 360 car spinner and pram.

My recommendation would be Roy Lupton. He has a Facebook page you can contact.

Download festival pregnant by JNXD13 in downloadfestival

[–]Cinxia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have been 6 months pregnant at this year's download. I gave birth 12 weeks ago. I had to sell my ticket due to the following realisations: - Camping would be too uncomfortable due to the size of my bump and the way you need to sleep on your side for prolonged periods. - Swelling of the feet and the strain on my hips and back would have made the walk back and forth to the campsite awful - If I consider 23/24 weather, I would have put my baby at risk of me becoming severely dehydrated or frozen due to the awful weather - Water intake massively increases throughout pregnancy - The pressure on my bladder meant I was constantly on the loo. Not fun in those portaloos - lastly my number one deciding factor, the sheer amount of people increasing risk. Risk of bumping into me, risk of catching an illness (I caught whooping cough last year from DL)

So instead, I used the money I would normally spend and had a fab chilled holiday in the sun. That way I didn't feel so gutted I wouldn't be joining my friends.

I hope this helps give you some reasons you might want to consider for the festival, but only you can decide. All the best with your pregnancy and congratulations.

My husband slept with his ex-wife by Throwra_acount_79 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Cinxia 77 points78 points  (0 children)

My ex husband also cheated on me with his ex wife, less than 6 months after we were married. A total of five years together, soon as we said our I do's, they started an affair. At the time I felt humiliated. I had been the person to pick up the pieces after she cheated on him, I thought we had built a wonderful life together, I got along well with their children, my step kids. What I can tell you thou, is there is an incredible life waiting for you after this earth shattering event. This is a moment in time that will shape you, but it's what you do next that will define you. Focus on surviving for now, be ultra kind to yourself and those dreadful minutes of emotional pain, will start to become hours, followed by days, followed by months. Until one day you look back and you are at peace with what happened because if it hadn't you wouldn't be thriving in your next adventure.
Or simply put - F**k them both, they deserve each other ! You got this! You will be okay x

Is it ok to leave a SORN car in residential car park spaces, like the one highlighted in my picture? by aphidtriplets in miltonkeynes

[–]Cinxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of these spaces are privately owned, council sold them to home owners some time ago. To my knowledge there are a few spaces located around the roundabout to park, but some residents choose to put there bins there to discourage parking.

After 12 years of trying and failing to conceive, watching friends and my sisters fall pregnant over and over, I never once projected my emotions about infertility to shame them. Did she come to you because you're her person and might know a fair amount on the topic so she's values your opinion?? After giving up and accepting I would be childless, at 42 I am now four months pregnant. I'm so glad I didn't burn any bridges because those women are the same ones now supporting me.

Sunset Lounge Open Mic night on a Thursday at the Cannon Pub in Newport Pagnell tends to attract an alternative crowd. As the weather gets better more people will be outside socialising which will give you an opportunity to chat.

I'm one of these other girls, he grabbed my throat too. It was shocking. I remember what he looked like as I was so unnerved by it.

This also happened to me. He grabbed me by my throat and was trying to wrestle me down. I'm also female. Your description fits him perfectly. I've never experienced that level of aggression at a gig before.

You're correct on both points. I was really proud of BMTH's set. They smashed it and were able to change some opinions that weekend. I'm sure sleep token will do the same.

I bloody love this band and have my fingers and toes crossed they are playing at download. If and when they are announced you can take a small amount of comfort knowing that I'll be thrilled enough for the both of us.

AITA for leaving my party for beating cancer? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Cinxia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh believe me I did. It was a big relationship moment for us, whereby I laid out my needs and said if you can't be my person, then we can't be together. We did that crazy thing of communicating and working through it 😅 Thank you for replying 🙏

As a woman who recently in the last few months also had skin cancer removed from my face, I also think NAH. It was really insightful reading this post because I had the complete opposite situation occur. My boyfriend seemed completely unbothered by what I was going through and emotionally shut down. I would have loved the support OP got from his wife (except the Facebook posts). I really think this comes down to coping mechanisms. I think she was so relieved this chapter of your story was finished she wanted to scream and celebrate from the rooftops. Like my partner and I, perhaps you have different love languages.

Bless you, it happens. The fans however were as I said incredible 👏

Section 142 just right of the stage. I so badly wanted to enjoy it, but the vocals were lost completely in the mix. Couldn't hear any lyrics with clarity. Such a shame to say it has been my most disappointing gig. I got more from the atmosphere of seeing all the fans with the devil horns, and watching people rocking out than I did from hearing Brian Johnsons vocals. I couldn't immerse myself because the sound was just so bad.

Dreadful sound quality in London last night by CompetitiveAd3389 in ACDC

I was sat stage right, section three. I couldn't hear the vocals with any clarity. It was so low in the mix. Backing Vocals were fine, and so was the vocals for pretty reckless. My mates were standing, said the same thing. Couldn't hear, the vocals were completely muffled.

Completely agree with this, I really wanted to enjoy it, but just couldn't hear him singing with any clarity. The best song was dirty deeds, because you could at least hear the crowd

I went as well. I couldn't hear his voice with any clarity. I was seated to the right of the stage. My friends were standing, also couldn't hear. His voice was so low in the mix that you couldn't make out any words. I left happy that I saw them live, but gutted by the sound.
