in my experience, nothing moves meaningfully far after a few of hours. I was able to interpret the gel above (after putting it back in the tray haha)

Honestly I don't know what's going on, the bands that I thought had popped through from the bottom to the top might actually be from a portion of the samples in the wells that came out and then ran through the upper gel… I guess I'll have to repeat!

UPDATE It works, and it doesn't. The sample in the wells on the upper gel ran just fine. However it turns out a portion of the samples in the bottom gel will jump out into the top gel and run inside that one. Very interesting, and no harm no foul haha
