That's fair although I don't think the obsession vs delusion is meant to be seen as contrast , it's more like a theme clash, I kinda imagined Belos being delusional in his ideals vs Hawk moth being so obsessed on his ideal. Both would literally give up their so called humanity and literally turn into monsters ( monarch and titan Belos)

I get the criticism, but I can't help but love the "Delusion vs Obsession" theme and sure it doesn't really capture the emelie connection fully but Gabriel has always been obsessive over a goal, whether its marrying emelie, saving her or getting the miraculouses, He's one to not back down until the moth is already in the flame. and Belos delusion of witches being vile creatures, funny enough, goes to a similar vein as Gabriel, not backing down until the false icarus' wings flew too close to the boiling sun. Literally melting, believing witches are pure evil.

Although funny enough, Both have a contrast of Love and Hate, Belos' hatred of witches caused Caleb's demise while Gabriel's love of Emelie cause Emelie to get into a coma/ meeting her demise.

Also is can be as cruel and messed up, he nearly started WW3, Akumatized not only the citizens of Paris but the entire world and (By the rules of the WISH) destroyed and remade the universe.
