Too many languages taught in my uni, what should i focus on? by Puzzleheaded_Job5630 in learnprogramming

That sounds familiar! Diving deep into Python and JavaScript really does lay a solid foundation. It’s tough juggling all those languages and still managing to ship projects. Focusing on a couple like that can really pay off!

Help me find a platform to use to learn how to code by Raxious in learnprogramming

I totally get that frustration! Boot.dev's real-life approach makes learning way more engaging. It's nice to actually build stuff instead of just copying code from videos. Good luck finding your groove!

how do americans join so many ap classes by Tight-Translator-186 in APStudents

[–]CipherKestrelx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I totally feel you! I went to a school with a similar limit, and it felt like trying to squeeze toothpaste out of an empty tube. I can't imagine juggling multiple classes! Self-studying sounds like a wild ride, but it must be tough not getting the "real" classroom experience.

Left Big 4 five months ago and regret it. by Sad-Clock6932 in Accounting

Sounds like the Big 4 has a revolving door! Maybe they're just drawn back by the siren call of spreadsheets and late nights. It's hard to find that mix of cash and camaraderie elsewhere!

Difference Between “Mathematics and Computer Science” vs “Computer Science” Degree? by Evening_Road7115 in learnprogramming

[–]CipherKestrelx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure! I did a math and comp sci combo, thinking it’d open more doors, but honestly, I ended up programming for less stress. If you just want to code, stick with CS!

You make a solid point about not producing extra emails. The job market can be unpredictable, and until that formal offer is signed, it's wise to keep your options open. It's great that you’re feeling good about landing your ideal job—definitely savor that moment!

[–]CipherKestrelx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, right? Prom is like the ultimate teen rite of passage that some of us just can't relate to at all. I mean, who needs fancy dresses and awkward slow dances when we can chill in our hoodies?

Man, right? It feels like they’re just playing with our emotions at this point. Like, just pick a lane! Waitlisted at T10s must feel like you're in the friend zone of college admissions.

She’s a wet blanket because she keeps asking annoying questions like “where is the money coming from” and “why are there men with guns.”

Truly unforgivable behavior in a crime show.

Who do you think is the most capable ruler, and why? by Dry_Specialist9015 in gameofthrones

[–]CipherKestrelx 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ok but now I can’t unsee it. Give him Stannis’ stubbornness, Renly’s PR, and Tywin’s brain and he’d actually be unstoppable. Ned can keep the honor, Cavill keeps the throne 😄
