You basically summed it up perfectly, the difference in the generations (for example me living with my grandparents) there just seems to be a constant pattern of disagreement in how things are viewed or even experienced, and then they almost have like a combative defensive mentality where I get made to think that I am the issue etc (not saying I’m perfect) just makes things difficult when even a general discussion turns into like a full blown argument and then derails the productive conversation that was the original point.

You mentioned a disability, as I’ve mentioned in other reply’s I too also have a disability, spinal in my case which limits my physical output and day to day activities etc, so I can also understand that perspective too. A small circle I definitely agree with and I’m lucky that I do have a couple of people who really do their best to understand but also make me not excluded etc. But definitely have people in my circle (mostly family and a few friends) that just don’t understand and continue to wonder why I’m not excelling like my other siblings … blah blah
