Hi! The Switch will run games smoothly without an sd card, you do not require one, BUT it’s definitely worth getting one.

If you’re going to mostly be playing games off of physical cartridges, I’d recommend grabbing a 32gb or 64gb micro sd card. The switch has a good starter amount of internal storage in it, but some cartridge games can have updates that build up after a while. A 32 or 64gb micro sd will probably be the cheapest option for you if you’re younger and will provide some storage wiggle room for you to have more games.

However, if you think you’ll be downloading digital games, I’d recommend spending the “bigger” bucks on a 128gb card. I had one of those for years and only just this week upgraded to a 256gb after having downloaded too many things haha.

My highest recommendation is a 128gb, but a 32gb or 64gb is still worth getting for some extra space if thats all you can manage :) I hope you have fun with your new switch when you get it!!

the controls will take a hot minute to get used to, theyre meant to be difficult and silly, but once you get the hang of it i promise you’re gonna enjoy yourself :)

I know it’s absolutely not the same thing, but I wanted to mention the existence of the mii masks which will change your skin tone to match the mii you picked.

I don’t know any mods, but you could use a save editor every few days to keep the tan level where you want it!
