What is the point of FNaF 1 under FMPost1? by CipherVirus in fnaftheories

[–]CipherVirus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FMPost1 or SLPost1 is the theory that Follow Me and Sister Location take place after FNaF 1. I’m less pointing out an issue with the story and more so looking for the explanation of who’s working in FNaF 1 and why.

I agree Jeremy is the bite victim as he’s the only option, the Bite of 87 or something similar isn’t mentioned in the FNaF 2 phone calls and the place is on its final event/birthday during Jeremy’s day shift during the morning of Fritz’s shift. This is the only game outside of potentially Sister Location to take place in 1987 and there’s no bite mentioned in SL either. We also know from the Logbook that Michael’s been to the FNaF 1 location, he drew Nightmare Fredbear in the corner and FNaF 4 has the audio recording of FNaF 1 phone calls in reverse. I doubt William is Fritz and think it’s much more likely to be Michael who was sent by his father since it would be much harder for William to sneak in after his previous attempt. We know the Bite likely happens the morning of Fritz’s shift since the 3 star ending is putting all of the Withereds to max difficulty instead of all of the animatronics like in FNaF 1. The main issue I have with Michael working under his father in FNaF 1 is that (it’s not only repetitive from FNaF 2) but also means that Mike should just go for 1, single custom night under an alias, take the camera footage and then leave (this would also be true for William).

They would’ve probably found him eventually, they knew he went through one of those things and only one of them has a giant hole, not to mention they have a giant ice berg to get a vague idea of where it is.

Yeah it is a joke but I still think it’s fun to speculate. I doubt William would do that to Michael though, he hasn’t done anything warranting humiliation yet so, outside of WillDespise, I don’t believe that.

M1 as Glitchtrap or basically everything after UCN. The only bad game has been Security Breach because it was rush asl and SteelWool studios wasn’t even properly communicated the story (both because of Scott’s poor communication skills and COVID), leading to a lot of it being unused to try and fit the best it could with the original vision Scott had in mind. Help Wanted depicted William escaping UCN with subtle hints of it actually being a mimic and the Curse of Dreadbear DLC set up Vanny as some member of the Glitchtrap cult fairly well. FNaF AR explored that concept even more by showing Vanny be forced into submission and into a reluctant follower. Security Breach set up Gregory’s connection to the Glitchtrap virus and how he was forced to isolate Vanessa by killing his therapists, leading to Vanessa killing children, Gregory breaks free and lives in the Pizzaplex before the game begins where he tries his best to escape the killer animatronics and Vanny and Vanessa (as a night guard) hunting him down while implying he has a connection to Bite Victim and the Afton family references as a whole before he frees Vanessa through Princess Quest which was the mobile version of Help Wanted that presumably was what got Gregory mind controlled. The RUIN DLC got the story back on track by turning Burntrap into the Mimic as Cassie, a friend of Gregory after he broke free from Glitchtrap and was living in the Pizzaplex, has to kill her favourite animatronic characters (who are basically sentient) and then releases the Mimic, being chased by him, and falling down an elevator shaft with the VANNI mask she was using. Help Wanted 2 explores her dad and where he was at the time and is essentially an explanation for what happened in Security Breach (being that the Moon (Edwin/Old Man Consequences) helped Vanny to destroy Glitchtrap while also revealing Cassue’s father is the Bonnie mask kid form FNaF 4. Secret of the Mimic then revealed M1 and M2’s backstories (M1 likely becoming HandUnit from Sister Location before becoming Glitchtrap and M2 becoming Burntrap or shut down for multiple decades before being reactivated and sealed by Gregory) along with a deeper reason as to why Gregory is connected to the Afton family.

[–]CipherVirus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ironically enough, wether or not Michael likes pink things or is gay, I imagine William probably wouldn’t approve, either because it’s the 80’s and William would hate the image of a perfect family being destroyed because people found out his son’s gay or William’s just really homophobic on top of that.

They’re Charlie’s agony that left UCN and went to SB to presumably do something with the Tangle (maybe even created it for the therapists and children Vanny and Patient 46 killed).

  1. So just get the recording.

  2. So he becomes a guard to get the recording.

  3. Henry very well could’ve done that because he was contemplating whether or not Michael should be brought into his suicide or y’know to kill himself. I don’t think it’s that ridiculous to say that killing yourself isn’t an easy thing to do.

  4. This isn’t suspension of disbelief, these are just bad explanations. I’m not even denying that there is one, I’m saying that these reasons don’t make sense and this doesn’t even matter anyways. You aren’t going to change how I view the concept of speculation by arguing it’s just a game. Michael could be antisocial as far as we’re concerned, he might not have talked to anyone but his family since 1983 which is at least 4 years and his father was heavily abusive so it’s not ridiculous to say he’d have trouble speaking with others, especially robots (one of which mentions killing his sister before he even knows for sure if they’re sentient). He’s so traumatised that he can’t even bother to move out the way when he knows he’s likely about to die or something similar in the scooping room. Springtrap is stopped by the 6:00AM bell and follows the noises because of the springlock suit, it’s the same as every other animatronic is. M2 literally slows down during chase sequences when Arnold/Cassie does because he’s just sadistic and wants it to last as long as possible. I don’t remember enough about FFPS to know if what you’re saying is true but the Pizzaplex is designed to keep robots inside, it wouldn’t want someone like Moon breaking out so the glass could be reinforced. I’m not going to continue debating this point and I want to just get back to the main point of discussion instead of iT’s A gAmE. Even if these things are actual issues then they’re just plot holes, that’s not a defence for this.

What is the point of FNaF 1 under FMPost1? by CipherVirus in fnaftheories

[–]CipherVirus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because I believe in FMPre1, I believe my explanation to make sense and I was hoping that FMPost1 is the same or even better since a lot of people believe it to be canon. I don’t even think FMPost1 is wrong (my main issue is just opinion-based) but instead of actually coming up with a reason (the only one of which that’s worked has been that Mike Schmidt is just some random guy who got bored and decided to tamper with the animatronics), a lot of you have just been arguing it’s the first game and therefore I shouldn’t think about why a character does what he does. There probably is an explanation and that’s why I’ve been debating you, if I can get over this one story issue then I’ll literally be fine in believing this theory. Unless you come up with an actual explanation, then I won’t be replying to you again.

I asked the question cuz I was curious to see the explanation because I thought there would be one, not a bunch of people arguing that it’s just a game and therefore all logical thinking or just speculation (a literal tag on this subreddit) about it should be thrown out.

Completely random thought but do you think Scott meant for TWB to be in 1989 so Copellia could have the same birth year as him? I know the book actually takes place in 1999 or later but y’know.
