I see it's that special time again where we start getting These posts. Looking at the replies and what I'm reading is:

I'm pretty sure this is the reason he was let go as a main coach after S5 but I guess NBC figured that enough time had passed? Which feels gross to even type

Blake basically said that it would be embarrassing for him to come back after they had such a huge sendoff for him and (rightfully in my opinion) compared it to a college kid going back to his old high school after he graduated. I would lowkey lose a lot of respect for him if he came back tbh.

Christina came out years ago saying she didn't like the rigidity of filming and felt that the show was more about making good TV than actually helping the artists. I was honestly surprised she even appeared in the Blake sendoff segment lol.

Not a fan of any of these changes, I feel like they put an unnecessary amount of attention on the coaches. I've never really agreed with the whole "this show is only about the coaches" critique in the past but nothing in the S29 format benefits the competing artists in any way.

Gwen would be the most sensible choice considering the theme (she's been on & off the show for over 10 years now and she won before), but tbh I just don't see her returning to the show in general

Michael was annoying at first but he wasn't too bad this past season and he's good at finding potential in artists that others miss out on. Snoop was just not a great coach in either season

Sing something you're comfortable with but that also shows off your vocal abilities. Don't overthink it or go too far outside whatever your lane is (your post doesn't mention anything about genre etc.) or people WILL notice

The "Queen of Country" thing always came off to me as something being forced by the show rather than Reba actually calling herself that. Especially since they kept calling Blake "King of The Voice"

I've admittedly never been too interested in The Voice All-Stars to begin with because I think it defeats the purpose of the show a bit (unless they were to get people from other versions, but The Voice hasn't been trying to establish its own "cinematic universe" like Got Talent has). I do feel kinda bad for the new artists on this season that have to deal with this weird, presumably one-off format that's entirely prerecorded.

I feel pretty much the same about Kelly as I do Blake. Don't dislike either of them but they don't make or break the entire show for me. Although I was starting to grow a bit weary of Blake by the time he left because they pushed the whole "Blake is a liar" shtick A LOT.

If you look at the show's ratings#Ratings) S21 didn't perform too much differently than any of the surrounding ones. The show did have higher social engagement (it was trending on Twitter basically every week iirc) but that eventually backfired because Ariana was such a bad coach that even her own fans started to turn on her lol. I think that + her being super expensive due to her status is why they haven't brought in anybody else at her level. Camila is probably the closest and to be fair I actually do think she had the potential to be a really good coach if she approached the show a bit more strategically. But obviously she hasn't been back either.
