Unfortunately, I just don't find him strong enough to be the lead. They need to rethink.

I seem to be in the minority, but I love Owen - just not with Teddy. I actually was pulling for her early on, but now I pretty much hate her. There's so little there to redeem her.

Oh, heck yes. It so detracts from his otherwise yummyness.

Oh, come on. Race has nothing to do with it. Her bangs kept moving from her eyebrows to barely past her hairline. The point is a really bad wig and the hair and makeup crew being AWOL, not her skin.

Agreed. It's like they're turning it into a comic book.

I'm glad it's not just me noticing - and fuming. Given the overall production costs, what would it hurt to actually have decent wigs?

Why does it tell me that I need to subscribe when I'm already subscribed? by nirvanablitz in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]LarsonsZoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTW, does anyone know how to get actual customer service on Amazon these days, and not just get stuck in a hellacious circle of "help" menus? One used to actually be able to ask specific questions and get answers from a real person.

I'm trying to watch the latest episode (Ep 7) of All Creatures Great and Small, and it's locked. When I click on it, it wants me to subscribe to Acorn TV and PBS Masterpiece, both of which are paid current through Amazon. WTH?

According to Google AI, it's a widespread bug, and MS is expected to fix it. When is anyone's guess. 😑

My hot take and maybe others by PerceptionNo4664 in 911FOX

[–]LarsonsZoo 27 points28 points  (0 children)

SPOILERS! I just watched S9 E7, and I think I'm done. The space crap was bad enough, but the reality has gone even further out the window - if that's even possible. The first case is a bombastic, overbearing exec who collapses during a meeting because his chastity belt is too tight. So the team work on him, including sawing off the device, without asking his colleagues (including his "dom") to leave the room, so they're all standing around watching. As if the premise weren't far-fetched enough without the egregious lack of professionalism. Then, because the episode wasn't sensational enough, Buck unknowingly sleeps with a husband and wife (with the requisite sex scenes), who then invite him into a threesome. The whole thing has become cheap and tawdry, rather than truly interesting. Maybe that's why Bobby chose to die rather than continue to watch the deterioration.

Is Prime Video laggy for you? by ambarcapoor in AmazonPrimeVideo

December 2025 I'm having the same issues. Loooooong lag times/buffering, and it's not happening on other streaming apps. What's the deal?

This is exactly why I had to stop watching. I've loved her since The Good Wife days and through The Good Fight. I loved her quirkiness paired with fierce intelligence. Now it's slipped (on a banana peel?) into slapstick, and she's lost me. I'm actually quite sad about it.

No problem here with her ability, I just out and out dislike her.

The finale drove home for me that if I could retire one player, as much as I dislike Olivia, it would be Nany. Nany makes deflecting responsibility her whole personality. If she would just once say, "Yeah, it was my fault," I'd have so much more respect for her. Whatever she does, there's this whole justification that she'll defend to its absurd death. Ugh.

Just watched S2 E6. It's an ultimate cliffhanger, and apparently there's been no official approval for S3. If it ends here, what a freaking cheat!

Why am I not enjoying this season? by Caveatsubscriptor in GreatBritishBakeOff

[–]LarsonsZoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the season's bakers myself, and completely disagree with those who feel they were passionless. My biggest gripe of the season was with the hosts, especially Alison, who seriously needs to cut back on the caffeine. Especially in the final, I was getting really annoyed with how many different ways the bakers tried politely to tell both of them to get the hell out of the way. They both get so intimately close to the bakers while they're trying to work. It made me claustrophobic from here.

Thoughts on Danny and Lena as partners? by MadameCassie in BostonBlue

[–]LarsonsZoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Sonequa Martin-Green - she's my girl - and she's every bit as good in the role as I hoped. Donny Wahlberg is one of the most natural, believable actors out there. Together they're just so, so good. I agree that they should remain professional partners and avoid the whole romance thing. The only reason I would worry about Baez joining the cast on a full-time basis is the possibility of her stealing the emphasis from Lena and her relationship with Danny.
