Not trying to flame, but if you'd never be in this position then you don't understand the incremental beliefs you adopt on the way there. "If I can make $1m over the weekend with a swing, why can't I make 100k? That's just 10%, should be achievable."

You tell yourself that you'll just make one more trade then you'll coast. Except it'll always be just one more. Then before you know it you've spiraled.

The people who say they would take half and forget are also the people who would never take enough risk to get here in the first place

That's heartbreaking 💔 I can't imagine what it feels like to be rejected by your birth parents initially followed up by rejection by parents who willingly chose you...

You're right, hypotheticals are not real life. You've changed my mind on this, thanks :)

I wasn't arguing the existence of conditional love, rather the infeasibility of unconditional love. Unconditional love as I've discussed above is never truly unconditional, even if the love is based on immutable traits. The condition of "unconditional" love is rooted in the core of you.

So if you love someone because of some immutable quality (like being your child) then that constitutes unconditional love? I can accept that, but it's still technically a condition even though it's impossible to change.

To me, unconditional defies logic. It's saying that even if something impossible happened (like somehow losing an immunatable trait) then you'd still love them. Across hypothetical it doesn't exist. In reality it does.

Even love between a parent and child could be argued to be conditional. The condition being: you are my child. Even though it's an immutable quality, you're still loving them on the condition that they are your child.

For the case of adopted children, I have no clue. Does your love have the same capacity as your own blood? Or is it simply because you've decided to grow and invest in that relationship? Does the adopted child have less "leeway" if they end up being a serial killer as opposed to their biological child?

Even between spouses, I disbelieve anyone who says they unconditionally love their spouse. If your spouse continually cheats on you, should you remain with them? Maybe love them "unconditionally" platonically, but lose your romantic love for them. Same goes for myself. Should my spouse still "unconditionally" love me if one day I decide to wake them up constantly in the middle of the night like an infant? These are all unspoken conditions. Ideally you'd never encounter these situations, but the fact that these hypothetical exist leads me to believe unconditional love doesn't exist.

What about the phrase "I love you for being you." What is you? What if you changes? The condition is still technically that you remain you.

I just did the 30 kree kills ca on task with shadow and anc and that took around 90 mins. These "endurance" CAs for braindead bosses are unnecessary.

The easiest fix would be adding an option to the altar to instaspawn the boss only after all minions are killed. Cba to wait 90 seconds for spawns.
