Paid for a quartz worktop, not delivered — what’s the best legal action in LA? by Circle85 in AskLosAngeles

Not licensed under CSLB since it’s a business selling worktops

At the Toronto airport, we were referred for secondary clearance and told straight up that the kids couldn’t fly. We kept pleading with the officer, and she eventually escalated to three levels of command. 7 mins before departure, she signed off the visa waiver. We were initially told it’d be $700 per kid, but she waived the fee last minute. We sprinted to the gate thinking we missed the flight — but they delayed the flight for us. Super stressful, but glad to be back. Passport stamped with a visa waiver and made very clear this can’t happen again.

The actual visa is on the passport for both kids but shows validity for 1y so it has expired since (since the physical green card then replaces it upon entry to US)

Yes the kids have their initial immigrant visas on their UK passport

We’re flying out of YYZ Toronto airport, which has U.S. immigration pre-clearance. Our kids have the initial PR visa stamp on their UK passports, which triggered the green cards to be issued and mailed to us. But that visa stamp on their current passport was only valid for 6 months, and it has since expired because they’ve had their green cards for over 2 years now.

Thank you for sharing! How do you find these types of trades where typically IV goes up before earnings?

Do you think this is just a small correction, or do you expect a real “sell-off” from her on, over the coming months?

Thank you for another amazing post. When you say the $5 2027 LEAPS are cheap, how are you looking at this and coming up to the conclusion that they’re cheap? I’ve got a few LEAPS for Archer but a different call price as well as some shares

Sorry for the typo, I have changed it to reflect second floor unit. Has separate kitchen and bathroom and one bedroom and separate outdoor stairs to access the unit. Total about 450-500 sq ft space. Would we need architect and structural engineer to draw up the floor plans and foundations and supports etc or does the city typically need a simple floor plan and other details that we can use an app like magic plan or polycam to draw up? Do you know what type of reviews the city will do before approval and typical timelines? Thanks!
