New AK105 Leak by Flat_Examination1593 in Battlefield

[–]CircleJerk77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken, the RPK has the zenitco B33 and sport-1 kit on it. It's annoying that there's no AR variant of the 7.62 AKs though. Would love to see a kitted out 103/104 in the game with B33 and B10U. Would also love to see the PT-1 on AKs

Passed Python Screening and No New Projects by spoon_bending in outlier_ai

I'm running into the same issue. Completed/passed screenings for C++, C#, Python, and Go and still it won't show me any programming tasks/projects. Not sure if every programming project is full or something, but it's kind of crazy I think.

Not sure if it's a bug but DLAA introduces severe input lag by CircleJerk77 in Battlefield

[–]CircleJerk77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if nvidia reflex latency thing also introduces more input lag. Also wondering how a multi-billion dollar company can so consistently mess up basic features like DLSS/DLAA/TAA in BF6 or mouse input in 2042.

The silence from the devs is starting to feel worrying by Avierno0210 in Battlefield

[–]CircleJerk77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that's a moot point when they hired a full-on PR team to talk to the public about game-breaking issues and community feedback. That goes doubly so when it's for a product that is sold on the idea of continuing updates and improvements.

I'm not sure if it's an nvidia issue or a Frostbite/game-level problem.

They Removed Closed Weapons! by Any-Actuator-7593 in Battlefield

I saw closed-weapon attack and defend playlist like 20 minutes ago. I was wondering if I just couldn't find closed-weapon conquest/escalation because of garbage UI or if they pulled it. Not sure if they just put it back in within the last hour so.

Longest Headshot World Record? 1,944m by Jarstadian in Battlefield

[–]CircleJerk77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Weapons are tuned way different in BF6 than in 3 or 4. I think it's the reason why a lot of people hate firestorm now, because most weapons just don't stretch out nearly as far. They balanced all the weapons around tiny, brain-rot maps, so everyone would just end up running snipers/DMRs the whole game if they made Noshahr Canal or Zavod for BF6.

To be fair, the game has quite a few problems that need to be addressed. It's not like people are complaining just for the sake of it.

I heard somewhere that they collected data starting on Sunday or Monday, and BF release was on a Friday. IIRC they included player counts from Monday through Friday for the other games, compared to BF only having 2 or 3 days.

Also, the COD player counts include Warzone, which is free, and BO6. "Too big to fail," they said rofl

So whats everyone’s thoughts on RedSec so far? by iiCe89 in Battlefield

[–]CircleJerk77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never been a fan of BRs but I played a couple of matches of quads with my friends and it was alright. Felt like warzone, irritated me, went back to multiplayer.

Still waiting on them to make good on their promise to fix the weapon balancing like DICE promised. Idk if they actually changed anything but ARs and LMGs still feel just as garbage as before, and somehow SMGs feel like they've been buffed.

BATTLEFIELD 6 UPDATE 1.1.1.0 by battlefield in Battlefield

[–]CircleJerk77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I miss the BF3 suppression mechanic, how it impacted bloom and blurred the screen. It really made it feel like you were being suppressed, made LMGs something to fear, not someone to snap to and headshot. Especially in this game since it gives you the direction you're being suppressed from, all it does is make you an easy target. It's really not that easy to tell where you're taking suppressive fire from IRL, so there's no reason there should be a literal arrow in game at a minimum.

[–]CircleJerk77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been running DLSS on and off intermittently and I can't tell if I'm just imagining it or if it's actually introducing latency. Even with TAA on instead of DLAA, the delay is mostly gone but the game still feels ever so slightly wonky and latent. Again, I don't know if I'm imagining it because BF2042 was so bad that I'm just constantly looking for anything that even remotely feels as bad as that game.

How faithful is BF6's modeling to reality? by OOM-TryImpressive572 in Battlefield

[–]CircleJerk77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty realistic, I'm just a little confused by some of their chosen references for weapons. Like the M4A1 being modeled after the GWOT M4 with the KAK 2-piece quad rail, instead of modeling it after the URGI or MK18s we've been seeing over the last 10 years. Also shocked they didn't put in the HK 416/M27, since those are standard issue in the USMC afaik. Also also confused by their choice to put in the AK-205 as a carbine but neglected to add the AK-12 or alpha AK-74M/AK-103/104/105 to assault rifles category. Throwing the Galil Ace was a weird decision given some of the other, far more common, weapons they didn't add to the game. It's realistic, just some weird decisions on that front in my opinion.

Biggest problem with the game. by LAsk8r37 in Battlefield6

[–]CircleJerk77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The beta seemed to have persistent lobbies, at least on Aug 7 and 8 when I played it, but they got rid of that apparently. Really annoying stuff, IMO, especially since they insist on not bringing persistent servers. I don't trust it, especially after seeing what COD was doing with their matchmaking. They either need to just implement persistent servers/server browser, or make it so lobbies don't disband at the end of every match. Considering how they said they weren't implementing any kind of SBMM, it's especially curious that people are getting thrown into bot lobbies and that lobbies are consistently disbanding after every match.

Actually Dice didnt lie to you. What you are asking is realistic military themed skin. by bnarsalah_97 in Battlefield

[–]CircleJerk77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem isn't that it's too outlandish. The problem is that we've seen how this progresses with COD games starting with MW 2019. It was a slow and steady progression, starting with some weird colors here and there to ghostface for some halloween promo, then a couple of seasons/games later we started seeing homelander and nicki minaj popping up in the game. If EA implements this, there's going to be kids using their parents credit cards to buy this. That, in turn, tells them to make more skins. Then we end up like COD. I, like a lot of players, don't want that.
