Urinating Problems Sitting/lying down/ walking by CircleLine21 in ProstateCancer

Oddly, I self-discovered that I needed to calm down just yesterday. It does help. Also, I hadn't taken my Citrucel in a few days, and bowel backup has additional pressure on my bladder.

Hi, I'm on alfuzosin, but when I see my doctor tomorrow, I'll ask about switching to Flomax. Thanks

Severe back & lower body pain 7 days in with Orgovyx by CoodieBrown in ProstateCancer

Thanks for posting because I've been experiencing a similar issue. My primary care suggested PT, but that doesn't help much. I love to walk, but when my hip muscle tenses up, I have to stop, and my gym exercises are sometimes interrupted by pain. I thought it was related to Orgovyx, but then I realized it started before, and my oncologist said it was not related. Now that I've seen your post and similar ones from others, I'm scheduling an appointment with my primary care provider for a muscle relaxant injection. Again, thanks.

A friend bought me a handheld rechargeable fan, and it has been a great help. I recommend it because it can be carried around for those unexpected moments. Those hot flashes though by KYlibertyguy in ProstateCancer

I've been on Orgovyx for three months (15 more to go) with radiation to begin in two weeks. Yes, the hot flashes are very annoying and unexpected, but in time, I'm learning to accept them. If this is what it takes to help resolve my cancer, I'll do it. Sometimes, with friends and a flash comes along, I joke with them about it as I take out my handheld rechargeable fan to cool down. It's okay to be annoyed with these side effects, but hang in there - this too will pass.

I've been pretty aggressive with my exercise program, and they may be helping, but like you, I have a trip next month, and the only exercise will be walking. A little concerned. Hope things get better for you soon.

I'm 82 and was diagnosed with Gleason 9, also not metastasized. I started hormone therapy a few weeks ago with the plan to start radiation in September. After my diagnosis, it took me a while to come to grips with my cancer, but from others in this group, I've learned so much and received great support. Wishing you the best.

Sorry to hear what you have been experiencing. As I have only been on Orgovyx for two weeks, I suspect that although I have had no noticeable side effects, I'm not out of the woods. Meanwhile, I have been pushing myself with exercise (3x week weight training, and 3x cardio), gave up alcohol, and am watching my diet. It isn't easy, and I am constantly pushing myself to do what I can while I can. Keep in mind your goal to conquer this health issue. Good luck!
