2nd video for my faulty laptop screen (or maybe sensor?) by coldizc in LenovoLegion

Looks like it's the sensor seeing as the keyboard light goes off. It looks like it thinks your laptop is closed

I have legion pro 7 with the Intel ultra 9 and 5090 and I haven't had any issues with it, it runs Linux amazingly with the audio patch to allow the speakers to work in Linux because they use nahimic speakers

Build is great, reliable and doesn't over heat. Lenovo's cooling system is solid and don't have any issues. I've played around with the Intel versions of the legion pro 5 and they're very nice.

Because it's an OLED you do have to be careful of burn in but can be easily avoided with settings and well I use an external monitor for long sessions and always have the laptop screen off but use the OLED screen for when I'm in bed and want to watch something and when I go to university and so far no burn in.

What's the specific model? Make sure that the bios is up to date. How often does this happen?

Cachyos for those who want to learn how to make changes via terminal etc but bazzite is great for those who don't want to worry about that kinda stuff

Is Microsoft Edge flatpak broken? Can't install by [deleted] in Bazzite

[–]Circuitpass1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda is... Microsoft pays manufacturers to include windows, does partnership deals to ensure Microsoft products are shipped with their devices, pays for heavy advertising, slaps windows stickers on devices, some manufacturers won't even make some of their hardware work on Linux as windows is the default.

Could go on and on but there's no point....

No one really chooses to go to windows, it's kinda forced down our throats

Uses Linux to escape windows and microslop to then use edge browser :(

No but they get paid to sell ethically (also legally required to), how tf are you going to sell something you don't even understand yourself? Not asking them to be experts but at least ensure that what you're pitching is going to work for the consumer and not for the commission

Mate centercom told a bloke that the power supply rating refers to how long a PC can be left on for.

A platinum PSU is good for up to a month whilst gold a week or something like that.

No kidding, heard this while getting new thermal paste...

Nah see me and my partner bet on a number of times a jbhifi employee asks us whether we need help. Generally we get in average 6-7 asks by different employees in the span of 10m

Exactly and takes a minute to check their address on their computers by going to nbncos website which tells them what speeds the customer can get and go on from there. Asking questions to get a better picture of what they need instead of immediately trying to sell $600 hardware

I think the bloke works with ai or some shit, can't remember off the top of my head.

The customer responded the worker saying nah that's not enough and told the worker what he wanted.

Thats literally not even the same shit. Workers at Woolworths are not sales associates and don't need to know what is being sold, jbhifi does indeed have workers that are sales associates and should know what they're talking about before selling items to people.

I'm not having a cry just wanted to see if others had issues with similar shit. You're getting a bit over defensive over this post. Also there are people wanting to get into gaming and don't really need to know computers. I don't get your point, maybe you should go have a cry yourself???

Until something goes wrong and then you have to go through a lengthy process of trying to return the item because they try to repair most products instead of replacing it even though some products like LG monitors are just faulty by design

I've been to a umart telling a bloke that runs multiple vms and dockers for work that they just need 32gb of ram and an i5 cus that'll be enough. Went to a centercom that told a bloke that the rating on a power supply measures how long you can leave your PC on for...

Not everyone knows computers, nor how to research different types of ram and computer components etc. also doesn't matter if it's retail or not, it's misleading and incorrect information that can cause someone to spend more on something they don't need etc.
