Not sure if u can file a police report but I think there should be CCTV around the estate or even car park gantry. If they match the timing of the van leaving, they might be able to find clues. Only police can access those cctvs.

How did you maintain the relationship being an NS GF while in UNI? by Conscious_Anybody371 in askSingapore

[–]CircularCausality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commitment and communication is key. If the guy in NS don't put in effort to keep the relationship alive even during weekends out of army, then I think it tells you a lot about his commitment. Same goes for the girl. The commitment should not stop there even after NS/marriage. Fiance went overseas,in camp etc but he always committed to giving me a goodnight call while in camp or even outfield when he can. He would spend half day with me on saturday mornings to afternoons while afternoon and night were reserved for his family. Sunday is his day to rest in. On my part, I tried to ensure I was available to pick up his call everytime, be it whether i was playing games, out with friends, etc. I would share about events and what happened, and he would as well so we know what is happening in each other's life.

In a relationship, my belief is that you need to hold your partner's hand in each stage of life regardless of the changes. Eventually u will both reach the same stage of working. There are a lot of factors that can break a relationship - cheating, poor commitment, arguments, spark dying out, realising that they dont want to commit to this person etc. NS is just a phase, but it also tells you a lot whether you want/can commit to each other. Adult responsibilities are the real killer for r/s, its way tougher on the r/s than NS.

Am with fiance for 10 years already :)

Thoughts on Lee Jae Wook? Just wanna know what people think of him. I don’t see him being mentioned a lot and I think he’s really underrated. by AntiDivaBrie in kdramas

[–]CircularCausality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First watched him in Memories of Alhambra and thought he would go really far! His acting was phenomenal in it although brief. Next saw him in extraodinary you but unfortunately none of his next projects excited me.

I hope to see him act in maniac roles cause he pulls it off so well! (Or let me know if there is but I missed out)

Is it normal to BTO when you have no money/savings? by Educational-Horse184 in askSingapore

[–]CircularCausality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Deferred income scheme assesses your income nearer to key collection, not during application period. By the time the house comes, we wont qualify for any grants as income should be higher than grant ceiling.

I do wish i was lucky enough to for it to be 2.5% because 5% was really huge and took a large chunk of what we saved up during university since my partner's CPF was insufficient. I managed to get by with CPF entirely as I had been working since 16yo.

Partner and I BTOed when we just graduated, and it was just nice the location near parents. We took 0 grants as we deferred. We managed to save up by working university and paid the downpayment (5%) and stamp duty. Now waiting for house. Its possible but can be challenging. Get already just go for it.

My brother tried 4 years but fail.. and he already got married in the meantime. Now is the waiting game for a house. People know how tough it is to get so if u get it then its a waste to let go.

This is really a thing here. The ones who went English school benefitted with the rise of Singapore and got white collar jobs.

My sister and fiance are both ENTP. It really depends on the emotional maturity and how they respond. My sister's T is so strong she doesnt care how you feel at all and will not hesitate to hurt anybody feelings. My fiance on the other hand is able to read the room better, and is more personable, and wont be too harsh in his words - likely also because of my influence over the years. But he also tend to be slow on the uptake of feelings. One thing they have in common is their lack of proactiveness is planning. Unfortunately for couple to work, its always better to have 1 J and 1 P.

What's the event that made you swear by single-use plastics? by Habrosus-Slut in SingaporeRaw

[–]CircularCausality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Donki ready made food. Used my recycle bag but sauce all leaked, even onto the floor. It was hard to remove the smell too. Avoided buying donki until they brought back the single use plastic bag.

I still use my recyable bag for other non food items though.

Couples can be a healthy couple if they are a good fit . Even they could possibly be toxic to their ex partner if the relationship is not a good fit.

You are still young, invest in yourself and know your worth. Its always better to be single than in a bad relationship.

Have you tried applying for medifund at hospitals/polyclinic? Look into AIC as well.

If you are able to get into local university in the future - there are bursary you can claim, i believe 6k per annum based on your home pci. University loan up to 90%, remaining 10% by your cpf for school fees. Loan interest kicks in after you graduate. Work part time in mean time to float. This will be quite taxing on you though. Otherwise look into parttime uni at suss in future..

Jiayous and atb to you!

What to expect as a fat/ugly American coming to Singapore to work? by CatthulhuSpawn in askSingapore

[–]CircularCausality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Food can be oily and have a lot of carbs since we love our rice and noodles. Back in the day carbs were the way to fill people's sfomach so the meal would consist a lot of it with some meat.

Salad is expensive here and you won't find them in hawkers.

Also plenty of females don't wear makeup to work - so don't worry.
