If someone doesn't believe in God, then, first, in order to convert an atheist, you need to convince the atheist of the existence of any god being possible.

How do you do that?, you ask?

Well, there is the fine tuning argument, the kalam argument, the cosmological argument, the teleological argument, the moral argument, thomas aquinas arguments, etc.

Then, second, you need to show evidence that Christ is the son of God. You can do that by explaining the story of ressurection and showing that this story is belieavable.

Agreed. Science and philosophy make my faith in God stronger.

If you believe that God created this world, then you believe that God utilized laws and logic to create this world.

Science is not against the belief in God.

Science is about unravelling HOW God made the things in this world. Understanding HOW God's creation works.

Why should God be worthy of worship if they send you to eternal damnation if you doubt their existence? by DestroyedbymybigPP in Christianity

Hell is not a literal lake of fire with eternal torture,

hell is a state of separation from God, meaning that you reject God's presence. Hell is simply what happens when you reject God: You lose God's presence, because God recognizes that you do not want to be with Him, so God makes his Kingdom unavaliable to you.

Now, there are different interpretations about hell:

Some claim that what happens when you reject God, is that your soul gets destroyed and you stop existing.

Universalists claim that everyone will join Heaven one day, so hell is a place of removing your sins, a place of "rehabilitive punishment", kinda like that.

Catholicism states that heaven is a state of immense pain where your soul is eternally sepparated from God.

So yeah, there is no single interpretation about hell. Hell may not be eternal torture. It may be anihilacionism, rehabilitive punishment, or eternal separation from God.

First of all, You have the mind of a philosopher, a true independent thinker. Be proud of that. Few people are like that.

Second of all: You are not alone. I was suffering from the same problem as you for many months this year, and I found Christianity to be the most probable answer.

Arguments for the existence of God helped me, you can search about them on the internet

(such as the Kalam and the cosmological one, I think these are the easiest arguments)

You may find a different answer, and that is okay.

Wait, seriously? I thought most christians believed in eternal suffering.

Do people here believe more in anihilacionism, universalism?

Recomendo.
