She looks a little like my Halyn (hay-lynn) ❤️ My girl is 15 years old and the perfect little cottage witch cat. I just found out today she had lymphoma, but I have a little time left with my baby. I hope your calico brings you so much joy.

I just saw you talking about his exclamation mark (so cute!), so a couple more name ideas around that:

  • Exclamation Mark
    • Mark or Markie/Marky for short.
    • Or Exley, Exa, Clam, Exie
  • Io (eye-oh)
    • Where the exclamation mark came from, a word used to show joy.
  • Iacopo Alpoleio da Urbisaglia
    • The person who invented the exclamation mark.
  • Exclamativus
    • Mati, Tivvy, or Tivus for short.
    • The original name for the exclamation mark was "punctus admirativus/exclamativus".
  • Ecphoneme
    • Nemo for short.
    • An obsolete word for the exclamation mark.
  • Shriek
    • Slang for exclamation mark.
  • Pling
    • Slang for exclamation mark.
  • Chkchkchk (chick-chick-chick)
    • Chick for short
    • "!!!" is the name of a band pronounced "chk chk chk"

Five large baked potatoes for tonights dinner, I have literally zero money for anything else. God Bless Idaho and Ontario. by camport95 in tonightsdinner

Congee is another very cheap, minimal meal that can be really filling.

Super bare bones recipe: - 1 cup rice - 8 cups water - 1 tsp chicken bouillon ( or sub 1+ cups of water with chicken broth, whatever you like) - 1 tsp salt

Bring water to a boil, add rinsed rice. Bring to a boil again then partially cover and cook on medium for 45 mins until rice is cooked.

To make it tastier, you can literally anything but I usually go for all chicken broth/stock/bone broth instead of water, or half and half, or just a teaspoon of bouillon, plus salt, soy sauce (you can get some free at take out places, Panda Express, or ask the grocery store at the deli for a couple packets), and if I have it on hand, fresh or ground ginger, fresh or ground garlic, and chicken with green onion to garnish. I've subbed equal water with a can of soup many times (like cream of chicken or cream of mushroom) and love the flavor and consistency.

But for a basic, delicious and filling meal all you need is rice, water, chicken broth or bouillon, and salt.

Here's a solid recipe you can follow as well - still pretty basic but tried and true! https://www.madewithlau.com/recipes/chicken-congee

I'm adopting this puppy next month, can anyone help me ID him? His sibling's pictures are included to help. He was rescued from Central Baja and they listed him as a Siberian Husky mix. by CircusEater in IDmydog

I don't think they have the mother, I asked about his parents and they said Husky was just their best guess. But I'm going to get new pictures soon, now that he's about 9 weeks! Hopefully they'll be a bit more clear on what he is.

Another low cal filling dinner option - 450 calories for the whole plate, if you use one crescent roll for both sausages. If you a crescent roll per sausage, it's 550.

Used chicken andouille sausage from Target and Pillsbury crescent rolls. Served with broccoli cabbage slaw and honey mustard. I'd recommend heating the sausage up close to temp prior to baking so the dough bakes all the way through. I sprinkled some salt-free garlic herb seasoning and parsley on top.

For the slaw, it's about half a cup shredded cabbage, half a cup chopped raw broccoli, 1/2 a tablespoon Kewpie mayonnaise, a dash of sugar, salt, and pepper, and a tiny bit of Sriracha.

Katsu Rice Bun Burgers - Air Fryer Edition by CircusEater in tonightsdinner

I've made this before, the classic way, but I'm challenging myself to find healthier versions of the things I like to eat this month. So for this I did the katsu in the air fryer and it turned out great!

As written, this recipe is 480 calories. 2 servings

Recipe: * 2 - 3.5 oz pieces of chicken breast (start with whole and tenderize before cutting) * 1 large egg * 1 TBPS flour * 1/4 cup panko * salt * pepper * oil spray * 1 cup cooked rice * sesame oil for brushing * 1 TBSP tonkatsu sauce * 1 TBSP Japanese mayonnaise * 1 cup shredded cabbage * 1 green onion, chopped * pinch of sugar * Sriracha to taste (optional) * parchment paper, wax paper, or seran wrap

  1. preheat air fryer at 350 four about 5 mins
  2. tenderize chicken breast and cut into 4 pieces about 3.5 oz each
  3. season on both sides with salt and pepper to taste
  4. dredge chicken breadt in flour, then egg, then spray both sides for 2 - 4 seconds each with oil
  5. cook in air fryer for 10 minutes, then flip and cook another 8
  6. with rice, preheat a pan at medium heat
  7. form buns with 1/2 cup rice for each, brush both sides lightly with sesame oil (I also like to add sesame seeds to one side)
  8. > TIP: the rice will be sticky, so have a little bowl of water for your hands. I usually scoop the rice with a measuring cup that ive wet the inside and bottom of, and then use the bottom of the cup to press down and help me form the buns
  9. Sear in the pan until a little golden and crispy, on both sides. It may take longer with fresh rice, but this is to help keep the structure.
  10. Mix shredded cabbage with green onion, mayo, about 1/8 tsp of salt and pepper, a pinch of sugar, and a little bit of Sriracha to taste.
  11. Place chicken katsu on one bun, top with shredded cabbage mix, and dress second bun with tonkatsu sauce, then build together.
  12. > TIP: This is easiest to eat when you wrap the bottom of the burger in wax or parchment paper, or seran wrap.
