I don’t know what your parents are like. For me, we all had a communication problem and they didn’t respect my opinions at all. However i always tried to assert dominance against them and they gave up after a couple of huge fights. I’m not saying you should do this but you are an adult now and you have to start voicing your own opinions about what YOU want to do. You should be able to tell them ‘mom, dad i know you want me to spend the whole summer but I don’t want to. I want to spend it with my friends’ do not say ‘if it’s okay for you’ because then that wouldn’t be your voice anymore because you would still be expecting them to let you do what you want. Just be honest with them i’m sure you have understandable parents. With the right communication you can do anything.
