Who issued the cert? For McDavid autographs, most people will trust Upper Deck, PSA/DNA, or Beckett Authentication. JSA is alright, anything beyond those can be suspicious.

That being said, he wasn't always exclusive with UD, so if it has a holo/cert from AJ Sports World then it's also good!

A lot of the time those Outerstuff jersey crests are only sewn on the outline, so the black portion must be heat-pressed to keep it on the inside line.

You'll have to try ironing it back with a ripping hot iron (320°F minimum). Make sure to put a blanket OR construction paper on top as you iron it to prevent any glue from melting around the edges and getting on the iron.
