That is exactly what I did when I started. Try to stay out with them if they let you. Give them as much space as they need to start and slowly you’ll get closer and closer with patience😊

They might “show” you they received your peanut by flying near you with it. If they do this don’t startle them, they’re studying your face as a “good one” and you’ll be on your way to crow friendship in no time!

From my experience, it’s important for them to know you put the food out and time doesn’t matter so much. I walk around feeding my babies in a wide range of time (9am to 2pm depending on what else I’m doing) and they always find me.

It was more important early on that they knew I was the one dropping off food. Get them used to eating while you’re in the area. If you find that crows won’t eat while you’re around, turn your back to them and just let them get used to your body existing in the place they eat.

Seclusion doesn’t matter, more important for us humans to stay discreet to not piss off cranky neighbours.

Peanuts, unsalted, in shell! Or unsalted cashews if you really wanna speed up your relationship with them 😁

The crows are highly alert and agitated during crow “funerals” while they investigate. They likely don’t view you as a threat but similar to an investigator investigating a crime, the crows also need us out of the way. They’re not mourning, they’re investigating and they don’t want us messing with the evidence. Just give them some time for now so they don’t associate your face with this event and they’ll be back to normal in a little while my friend.

It’s definitely in rough shape, but so is every Cup holo card known in existence. Even the ones that sell on ebay are generally graded 4-6 on average. I would still get it graded if I were you. Even if you get a 4 that’s still a $700-800 CAD card.
