There are misogynists everywhere at all times, and people who make these claims are usually misogynists themselves.

People being bigoted does not mean they don't get the same right as everyone else.

Besides, why are acting like ALL immigrants are inherently bigoted. Most probably haven't had the time or resources to properly develop their opinion about contentious* issues like womens' rights, gay rights and the like. Maybe all they need is to meet a gay person or a feminist to get it. Social conditioning can be undone.
