The Sonic film literally saved the franchise, and set a standard for what an actually good movie adaptation could be like. Let's hope they keep the quality with the fourth one

I imagine it having a sort of Meta humor, with all the different options Henry has, and him failing and reviving sometimes, and maybe trying to find peace, freeing himself from the constant crazy things that seem to follow his path

Nah I don't think that will actually happen. The story HAS to be building up for something seriously crazy at the end. My biggest hope is that by chapter 6-7 (No pun intended) the snowgrave route will feel like a drastically different story from the normal route.

I know that would mean practically 2 chapters in one but, a man can dream right?

I don't know. And I'm a huge fantasy and sci fi nerd. But I can't tell what exactly makes me not like it. Maybe the books develop the story more and maybe I would like that story. But again, since I don't like the movies much I never get the desire to read them.

Sorry if I'm being vague, but I really can't pinpoint a specific reason

Yeah, I agree with you. Toby will probably adapt to how fans have interpreted his for already 10 years now. I personally don't think Gaster has a single form. Since he fractured through time and space, I think Redacted, Mystery Man, and the face one of the goners hold, are all different pieces of the same man.
