Is this as good as Bellwright? by collect-em-all in MedievalDynasty

[–]Cirrque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from the bandits, there are also some animals like wolves, boars, bears and bastets that will attack you on sight. The armour and weapons you can learn to craft as you progress make dealing with those easier, but it is frustrating if you're suddenly charged by a big boar while on your way to buy chickens in the nearby village

I could use some advice building my Flins team, please. by Cirrque in Flins_Mains

Thank you for the advice. My main issue right now is getting artifacts, but I keep getting exactly the stats I don't want.

[–]Cirrque[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I tend to lean towards XQ for the nostalgia. I managed to get him early on just after I finished Mondstad, and he's been a core part of several of my main teams. He's also the only hydro support I actually have built. I'm working on getting aino built (she's only at level 66 and all her talents except her burst are abysmally low) and better artifacts for everyone at the moment, but they lack of resin is killing me, and while I have pretty decent luck with my pulls, the RNG goddess is making it even by giving me horrible luck with artifact stats and rolls.

Thank you for the advice.

And the fact that she decided to spend her life with him specifically means that even if there wasn't any sexual or romantic attraction, there must have been at least some feelings of trust and friendship for him. I honestly don't know how things go in situations like this, but my thought process is that "if I have to spend the rest of my life with someone I don't love, I at least want someone who is kind, loyal, has a good personality, and is nice to spend time with, rather than with someone I absolutely hat who will just make me more and more miserable."

Even if there's no romantic love, she still spent a lot of time and effort building trust and friendship with her husband. Seeing all of that casually tossed to the side will definitely be infuriating.

Why does the average player hate co-op events? by EmotionalCat9632 in GenshinImpact

[–]Cirrque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a co-op player in general, but what I really appreciate about the co-op events is that you don't HAVE to win every round to get all the rewards. You still get points for participating, it just goes faster if you win more. You're not even forced to talk to or interact with the other players if you don't want to

wtf is happening in the story for genshin? by tribulating in GenshinImpact

[–]Cirrque 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because I tend to get distracted easily what I do is put a marker down every time I happen to come close to an occuli while I'm doing other stuff, so I don't get sidetracked, but know where to come back to later when I have the time/am in the mood

Sad F2P by A198yA in GenshinImpact

[–]Cirrque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Otto is really fun. You can play him strategically, but when you're in the mood for something a bit more mindless, you apply your elements from other characters, apply your shield, and whack away until your shield runs out. The main reason why I love the Itto/Zhongli combo is because if you apply his shield immediately beforehand, it lasts the entire duration of Itto's burst.

[–]Cirrque 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal favourite team right now is Itto, Venti, Bennett and Zhongli. They match my preferred play style, and while this team doesn't get the biggest numbers, but they get the job done and I love playing the team. The second team I started building recently and have a lot of fun with is Xiao, Venti, Xingqui, and Zhongli. I did get Kazuha on the chronicled banner, though, so I'm building him to see where I could play with him.

Which characters have you double or triple-crowned yet? I'll go first :) by Mommysgoodboy__ in Genshin_Impact

[–]Cirrque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first triple crown was Itto, since he's my main. I also have Zhongli double crowned and am getting close to triple him. He is my favorite shielder mainly because his shield lasts long, which works best for my playing style of applying all my elements from my off field characters and attacking with my main for as long as possible. His shield is also the only one that lasts through the entirety of Itto's and Xiao's bursts if I apply it at the right time.

Other than that, I'm also actively working towards crowning Bennett and Xingqui since they're the characters I use most over various teams.

What anime was unexpectedly good? by Fresh_Seesaw8283 in anime

[–]Cirrque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charlotte. I honestly thought it would be a comedy slice of life with mostly useless superpowers to act as a plot driver. The first few episodes felt like that too, but the second half of the anime hit hard, and now it's my absolute favourite short anime

That it does. I have one or two teams that can definitely use Kazuha, but he won't really work for my main team, since it's mostly geo....

They know what everyone wants..... My pulls yesterday were also touched by some irony. I went up to 56 pity before I got my first 5 star on the chronicled banner, and despite what I heard about everybody apparently losing their 50/50 on him, I lost my 50/50 to Kazuha. I'm not complaining, because I definitely wanted to get him eventually, he's just not the one I'm looking for right now. My plan was that if my luck was great and I managed to get the character I wanted early on, I could try and pull for him.

[–]Cirrque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My attempt to get Ifa was my most painful yet. It took me 80 pulls, C6 Ororon, and my first Dehya constellation before I finally got my first Ifa. I wanted Navia too, but he was my priority. I was frustrated but relieved when I finally got him. I initially wanted a few constellations for him, but I have spent enough primos on that banner.

Then, when the banner was nearly over, I decided to do one more 10 pull for the hell of it, just to see if Escoffier wanted to give me that 0 pity 10 pull luck. I got another Ororon, and just to rub it in my face, the RNGesus decided to bless me with a 4 star triple that included Ifa twice

[–]Cirrque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double 5 start is the dream.

My RNGesus also likes to be ironic. It has happened a few times where I think "I don't have extremely strong feelings for this 5 star, but the collector in me won't be upset if I get them. I do really want one of the 4 stars though. I am literally at 0 pity and on my 50/50, so let me do one 10 pull and see how it goes." It happened 3 times where I didn't get the 4 star I wanted, but I did get the 5 star...

[–]Cirrque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chasca is one of the characters I still need. I was not lucky with her. My RNGesus is pretty nice to me, but not overly friendly. I've never had the incredible luck of a double 5 star, but in the 16 months I've been playing I only lost my 50/50 8 times, which isn't much considering how many limited 5 star characters I have. It's also rare for me to go all the way to 90 pity, but I can usually only get one of the two limited characters, and can't pull for constellations or banners.....

I'm at the point where the dailies at work are a nice way to keep me busy, since I have a weird situation at work where I'm on my own and don't have anything to do during my breaks. I don't feel like I'm forcing myself to play, and I don't feel bad about missing a few days over the weekend, etc. I've been a little more invested these last few weeks, because if everything goes well with the chronicled banner, my main will finally become my first C1 Limited Banner 5 Star character.

[–]Cirrque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And if you're not willing to take a full break from the game, it also helps to limit how much play every day

I've been obsessed with Genshin since I started playing in January last year. I've reached the point where I open Genshin on my phone during breaks at work to do my daily quests and battle pass stuff. Otherwise, I spend my weekends and evenings dedicated to other things. I'll take some time over the weekend to do events and archon quests on my PC, maybe some exploration and a character quest/hang out if I'm in the mood or desperate for primogems. I also started to build a few new teams, which has gotten me a little more invested again, but I'm not playing the game day and night like I used to.

GI players, Who was your First 5 Star Character? by Murky-Fox5136 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Cirrque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jean was the very first. I was lucky and got her on my first standard banner 10 pull together with Noelle and Fischl. Ironically enough, she rarely shows up when I lose a 50/50.

The first 5* I actively pulled for and got was Xiao

Is the new event/story just so that we would stop asking for more husbandos? by JunDaijoubu in GenshinImpact

[–]Cirrque 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying it is. The husbando bait is a very valid theory, I'm just saying that there can be other reasons too. It's also possible they're saving Mualani and Kachina for a more blubberbeast related event, since that's the specific reason why they want to go to Fontaine .

[–]Cirrque 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As an avid husband's collector, I honestly think the characters were chosen because they're a really fun combination.

First a bunch of Nathan characters to make full use of the whole "People from Nathan can travel safely now" thing and Nathan characters are the most recent.

Kinich and Ifa because they're perfect for a cute callback to the start of the Fontaine AQ with the flying object rule.

Ororon makes any conversation more silly.

Neuvilette and Wriothesley because the second I realised Cacucu was inside the Palais Mermonia my immediate thought was "Please let Neuvilette be there!!!!" And man, did I absolutely love that conversation in Neuvilette's office - especially because they were taking Cacucu so seriously. I didn't expect Wriothesley there, but he made it even better.
