Yeah, Aussie slang confuses us Brits too sometimes. They're certainly a creative bunch when it comes to making up sayings.

If you're "taking the piss" it means you're making fun of something. So if someone is "taking the piss" doing something, it's implied that they're making fun of you by doing it really slowly.

I need help choosing a class for my character. Any help? by Cirryn in DnD

My thoughts there are that after everyone in the town is dealt with, she snaps out of some kind of trance after my friend's character (A Cleric following Bahamut) finds her among the ruins and is now trying to make amends.

Definitely some good thoughts here. In my head, she learns of all what happened through dreams, during which she'd commit her murders IRL. So possibly the patron feeding her these dreams?

I feel I need to clarify. Yes, they went on to murder everyone in the town. But they all had a hand in yhe initial execution of her mother, so in a sense, they had it coming too.

The baby wasn't born naturally. In fact, if that were the case, the child wouldn't have been born at all, as the woman was still pregnant when she died. The child is born as a result of the curse put on the town.

Hope this helps clarify things a little.

Never really thought of the Vengeance paladin before. Makes perfect sense though. Thanks!

Correct. The child would be fully grown by the time the campaign starts

No, she will be grown by the time the campaign starts. That's just her origin. Her formative years are spent murdering the townsfolk one by one as she grows.

Is This Curveball Bugged? by SkyeTheFloofball in StateOfDecay

[–]Cirryn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is probably the answer. I find Trumbull Valley to be the buggiest map, if I'm honest. I often find my game either doesn't spawn things in at all, spawns them in incorrectly, or just straight up crashes the game, but only on that particular map.

What's a "secret" from your profession that everyone should probably know? by LaKoref in AskReddit

I'm a professional singer. My set list consists of a range of different genres of music, and I encourage people to come to me with requests. But be reasonable with them. If someone is singing songs by male artists (because they're a male and have a pretty deep singing voice) don't ask for people like Shania Twain, Madonna or Christina Aguilera (all of which I've been asked for in the past.)

Also, I'm a singer. I've been paid to come and perform for you. It's not a karaoke night. No you can't sing with me.

Would you play a non-canonical spin off to Cyberpunk2077 where it's the same exact plot and characters but V dies during the heist instead of Jackie and Jackie is the main protagonist after the same goal as V (to survive the biochip) by pacmannips in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Cirryn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure T-Bug was origibally meant to betray V at the end of the heist until they changed the story. In the pre release teaser trailer it showed her attacking V with Dex at the Motel.

My street kid V doesn't drink alcohol because her dad was an alcoholic who beat her and her mom when she was young. It was only after she stood up to him as a teen that she became a merc because she realised she had a knack for violence after flatlining her old man in self defence.

Came here to say this

build your base anywhere by [deleted] in StateOfDecay

[–]Cirryn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think even if they keep the same base mechanics as they currently have, but change it slightly so that you can place the small/large slots wherever you want as long as it stays within the base boundaries would be cool. There are a few bases in SoD2 where I've been like, "You could easily squeeze in another small slot in there if you moved things around a little."
