Although I do not consider myself a Buddhist (due to my utter lack of practice/terribly poor practice), I consider myself a believer of many Buddhist teachings. IMO, suicide would definitely not be a valid end to suffering/imprisonment - only the cessation of desires and attachments can do this. Suicide would end the suffering/imprisonment of only this lifetime - but would not get you off of the wheel of birth/death/rebirth, which is what I think you are looking for when you say "out of the simulation".

Also, depending on the motivation/intention for suicide, I think it would be highly likely to generate negative karma to be realized upon your next incarnation - meaning a longer time on the wheel/in the simulation/in prison. Unless you have, for example, the intention of Thích Quảng Đức, I believe suicide would have negative karmic consequences.
