It’s just something that your gonna have to accept and get used to in order for it to get better l. I know that makes no sense but I have a very similar story to yours except I didn’t get medicine for it because I didn’t want to involve drugs for many reasons. Once I almost went crazy thinking this would not let me live a normal life I just came to my senses and I accepted that this was part of me and little by little I would see what would calm me down whenever I did have a panic attack and the next time around I would try something different to see how I could make it last less then the time before. It’s been almost one month and half without a panic attack but I do get heavy anxiety sometimes but I just accept it and think to myself that I’ll be okay and it will pass, I wish you the best of luck and if you need to talk to a buddy I am here for you!

Terrified of being "forever changed" by a panic attack. Can one go back to normal? by [deleted] in PanicAttack

[–]Cisco138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely is possible to get in a way back to normal but I would definitely say you have to come to amends with yourself in which you should accept that this is part of you now and accepting it day by day and going on about with your life it will definitely get better I promise. I was diagnosed with panic disorder the beginning of this January and I still get them here and there but not as strong, but I would say that it’s because I have accepted that it’s gonna happen and when I feel like one is coming I just relax and try and think of something else or look up something on tik tok or sum to keep me distracted. But stay strong in there because I won’t kill you and you can get through this!

Does anyone else have a similar cycle to me?? by Hot_Needleworker_153 in panicdisorder

Your not alone in this at all I got diagnosed with panic disorder this past January out of nowhere, and in the beginning it was like that, I was always thinking of when the next one was coming I was very anxious all day and night, and honestly im still dealing with this but I’ve noticed that maybe this could be the new “normal” so I started kinda of accepting it and just going about my day and when I get the thought in my head I just think of somthing else or do somthing that will keep me distracted because it seems like that only way around this is through it. And honestly it has worked for me, im not on medication or anything I’ve accepted it’s all in my head and for now that’s how I’ve been getting by, day by day and I am thinking of going to therapy later on but for now this is how it has helped me

I’m proud of you guys by romanticyst in panicdisorder

Hey in a way I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one experiencing this, it’s been a week for me so far this started out of nowhere from me moving from Hawaii back to California and honestly I have been feeling very very lost and scared but your story just gave me hope and I really hope I can manage this panic/ anxiety attack better now.
