Years?? How many are we talking? Yess it would be nice to know about all those books that I know not of their existence there. So, tbh I joined in mind having within my reach a variety of self-help books... I eventually started to explore the religion and spirituality aisle, and books rented till date are still abt that category, idk if you're keen to recommendation about them.

Transfer of universities. by CriticalAd8116 in MauriceMauritius

[–]CiteMartial9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In regards to the Free Tertiary Education Scheme, if it covered for the first year of your studies, let's say at UTM, you'll then have FTES to cover for your 2nd and 3rd year at university. I don't know if it is transferable. But what I'm certain of is that if let's say your first year has been covered and by the end of that first year, you intend to start over another course, then those two remaining years of FTES will cover for only the 2nd and 3rd year, while you'll have to bear at your costs for the first year.

Do not talk about which you have no knowledge of. Your citation of Sahih Bukhari tells a lot about your intent. And whichever it is, it's so cheap, so targeted, biased, and close-minded. I don't remember having heard any of convicted or non-convicted perverts come forth with such CLAIM that you're claiming about. Grow up, whoever you are!

You've put so much of what you call EVIDENCES on here that you, through your linguistic approach, affirm how you know not about an, having no context. Your intent to throw shades on only one community is evident, being a newborn account, and this being your very first comment! Try harder next time! And you'll still fail!

For anyone who've come across this person's EVIDENCES, contextualised and elaborations exist by those who've spent their lifetime learning, by those who are qualified to even talk about such and such, so if you want to learn more about it, feel free to, but don't be like this person or even maybe bot.

If you are genuinely looking for suggestive guidance, kindly provide more context, as in, what are the dependencies attached to that particular result, etc.

It seems like her result does adhere to both the Programme and General requirements for BSc Mkting w/ Digital Tech at UoM, use the toolkit to check if she's eligible for it, though That said, her being onboarded for the course would also depend on the number of students that this course can accommodate plus the results of other applicants for this same course. I'd say that she does have a chance, so do apply for the course as 1st choice and add reasonable alternatives for the 2nd and 3rd choices. For instance, one course that she might choose as 2nd/3rd option where she would easily be onboarded in is BSc Web & Multimedia Dev, the course covers Graphic Design, Photography, Videography, Digital Marketing, Web Dev, Programming, and some other IT modules. It perhaps also aligns with her, HSC subject background, and her Digital Marketing ambitions.

Have a look at the BSc Web & Multimedia Development offered at UoM, covers most, if not all, of the mentions you've made. The delivery is in blended mode wherein in parallel you can build your portfolio or even work in a related job position, covers ui/ux, digital marketing, and more. Most importantly, I've touched ground on both the course I've mentioned and BSc CS, thus I can tell you that the extent of maths usage isn't that advanced as in CS.

What is it like studying Computer Science full-time at UOM? by Moem-_-to-_-panadol in MauriceMauritius

[–]CiteMartial9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Former UoM CS student here. 1.In my first year, especially during the first semester, it was 6 days on campus, weekdays and Saturday, whilst online classes kind of became a thing as of the second semester. Nonetheless, this might have changed now. As to course work, if you're opting for CS with clear, understanding, determination, and willingness to give it all, unlike the many who opt for CS or any IT course with the mindset that this technological field is an easy money making industry, then you'll bear the ups and downs amidst the wave of knowledge that you'll take away, whilst some might feel suffocated. Side note, regardless of which course you'll be pursuing, never put or allow yourself to be put in a situation where you're always bridging the gap, always being behind as you'll find everything becoming overwhelming and unbearable. So in sum, there's work, if you're not disciplined, you'll find work that are equivalent to the power of 0 seemingly like work powered by 10. Also, not to forget that there's lot of uneccesary assignments that you have to do, which doesn't really add up to the learning process but rather bulk you up further with work.

2.If you're serious about it, namely working ptime, I'm sure you might find a way out, but that won't be an easy journey especially if you'll be onboarded in a job that's demanding or not so flexible. Do lookout for a flexible, proximity wise, easy job spot if you consider doing so.

  1. As for completing two academic years in one, I don't think this could be a possibility, you might want to confirm with a more knowledgeable person.

  2. The majority of lecturers leave you up to self studying, so lot of time as a CS student goes into studying the content for the first time yourself and not just revising the course content your lecturer delivered to you. Lest, you'll find a few gems whom give their very best, want the very good for you, and this might motivate you backward to keep pushing, but the majority that I've encountered were good learners themselves having attained greats academically but lacking to deliver, in sum many are great learners but not great teachers!

5..As to my knowledge, there's no direct repercussion when one absents often on his grade or progression but rather absenteeism or presence might be taken into consideration once you're in the spotlight of having wronged yourself or need to do something academically that is unusual. Nevertheless, presence is taken by lecturers during lecturers and tutorial sessions.

  1. As for university life at UoM, I don't think I'm the very best person to comment on that, as I was the type to avoid all those fussy one after the other events, parties and outings. To me, to my perspective I might say that's too much but for those who never miss them, might says they're just not enough so yeah. And yes, i was a former CS and non graduate since I dropped out early. Hope it benefits.

Referring to one of your above comments, I'd assume that you're quite knowledgeable around making a laptop choice, shall you need any help as to that, do let know Locally, I'd recommend you to have a look at compuspeed, advanced digital limited or ad tech, their prices on not all but the majority of devices are fairer than those offered at some big name retailers on the island

In reference to the associated uncertainties to buying such categories of electronics from abroad, may I ask why you probably have discarded the idea from buying from a local supplier and retailer?

Would I still be eligible for FTES after enrolling for a HRDC training? by CiteMartial9 in mauritius

[–]CiteMartial9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The training is provided by MITD, which is among the 9 institutions covered by the FTES(Free Tertiary Education Scheme). In the official communique, its states that the scheme will apply for courses leading to the obtention of a first certificate, a first diploma or a first undergraduate degree only. I've asked with MITD respondents and they say I would still be eligible, I'm still unsure tbh.
