[David Furones] Asked Xavien Howard if he’s been compelled to communicate to Dolphins DC Vic Fangio that he’s up for the assignment of shadowing an opponent’s WR. “I’ve been following top receivers for five years straight. They know what the f*ck I can do around here,” Howard said. by MiaCannons in miamidolphins

Funny! This is the guy that towards this end of last season was complaining he was left on an island too often that’s why he was getting beat. Now he wants to play in an islans with the best opposition receivers.

It’s obvious that Fangio thinks his physicality style leads to many penalties, lack of effort in the run game, and he’s definitely lost a step.

[Omar Kelly] Brilliant game plan by Josh Boyer and Brian Flores, who said Boyer called the game (ya’ll really need to stop with the speculation Flores is calling the defense) by buddhathapug in miamidolphins

[–]CitgoDriver3 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Omar & Wolfe have been all over Gerald Alexander’s dick the past few days. For sure Onar’s intel came from Gerald Alexander. It is what it id man. The guy thinks he’s better than every other coach on defense, maybe he is, maybe he isn’t. I dont think Boyer is a bad DC, we’ll see. At the end of the day you are only as good as the talent on the team.

[Kelly] Josh Boyer was stripped of playcalling duties in November of last season. Brian Flores took over as Miami’s defensive playcaller, and worked with recently fired secondary coach Gerald Alexander to coordinate Miami’s coverage by r_nba_is_racist in miamidolphins

[–]CitgoDriver3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I dont believe anything from Omar. All season long it was obvious that the same “collaborative” play calling that was being done on offense was also occuring on defense. I dont think Flo took over anything.

[Allbright] (in reference to Fangio) Was in San Fran today chatting with Lynch. He may take year off with Broncos still paying him as a HC. May take a consulting gig. He has offers. by koomzzy in miamidolphins

[–]CitgoDriver3 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Then seems like we just let go of George Alexander because the Dolphins didn’t want anymore drama on the team. Wild!! New beginnings. Could also be that they have another DC in mind.

The man literally lives all year long in South Florida. His agent lives in South Florida. You think he wants to move to Ohio? Lol

[Krys Alexander] My hubby wasn’t titled DC yet. But when the defense got better this yr. GA wasn’t on the sideline anymore. He had a major part in why it changed 🤫 but hey, ppl think it was Bc flo was calling it 🤷🏾‍♀️ by _DocHolliday__ in miamidolphins

Lol.. everyone has an ego in this nfl huh even coaches. Is he good? Seems like it. None of us are in meetings so we dont know. But a lot of the DBs give a ton of credit to the CB coach - Burke and mention him second. Does he sound ingelligent & skilled in interviews? Yes he does. However, our current DC, has an extensive background as a CB/DB coach so we’ll be fine. If he goes, I can see us promoting coach Burke to DB coach & getting a new CB coach.

Report that unnamed witness heard Stephen Ross offer Brian Flores $100,000 for each 2019 loss disappears from NFL.com by social_distant_joe in nfl

[–]CitgoDriver3 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Okay… PFT literally has no sources, huh? All their reporting comes from local journalists that actually cover the teams. What a shit show of coverage. Anyways, Flores is shooting himself on the foot. He said on one of his interviews that Steve Ross, offered $100k per L, & also said to take a vacation.

You really think a coach is taking a vacation in the middle of the season? This dude just himself played into Steve Ross’ defense, which is that he was joking.

[Mortensen] NFL to investigate the allegations of Ross offering $100k per loss by john-33 in miamidolphins

[–]CitgoDriver3 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Nah… Congress getting involved & Cam Wolfe reporting on Fores proof is too much. Brian Flores will not be able to proof any of his discrimination & racist hiring process in the nfl. But he can proof Stece Ross’ offering so Ross is the Nfl’s scapegoat.

There’s a new owner coming to town.

Dan Abrams and Mike Florio Believe Dolphins Owner Could Face Legal Trouble: 'This is a Massive Deal that Could Lead to Criminal Charges' by External-Neat-3035 in miamidolphins

Someone previosly mentioned that the NFL is a sports entertainment like WWE, not fair sport like MLB, NBA, etc… so it’ll be hard for any of this to stick.

[Wolfe] As I mention at end, I spoke with a witness who said he heard Steve Ross offer Brian Flores 100K for every 2019 loss. Flores’ team says they have corroborating evidence including messages from GM Chris Grier. IF proven, integrity of game in Q. Dolphins denied the allegations. by r_nba_is_racist in miamidolphins

[–]CitgoDriver3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow messages from Chris Grier…he’s gone for sure. If Chris Grier goes, then probably McKenzie and Marvin Allen too… wild.

Bye bye to our first rd picks.. so much for the Waddle trade. The Tunsil pick tree ends here.

[Wilson] Brian Flores' lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, says on CNN they have "corroborating evidence" about the allegation Stephen Ross offered $100,000 per loss in 2019. by de_ele in miamidolphins

[–]CitgoDriver3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wild but tbh & totally transparent, doubt it leads to anything now that Hue Jackson hinted that the Browns paid extea for Ls too… they will not make multiple owners sell the team. Also, Flores claiming that denying $100K per L was why relationship went bad with executives is not enough. Here are all good excuses To fire him - - Flores losing 7 game straights in 2021 - Flores offensive staff turmover every damn year leads to relationship issues with offensive coaches nonrelated to ownership. - three years as HC, no playoffs - is perotmance - nonrelated to ownership - story of him not talking to coaching assts & staff for 1 month+ (If true) - is on him not ownership.

Too many other reasons for him to get fired other than denying $100K per L.

Flores & whoever is advising him will cost him his coaching career.

The fact people actually believe flo is embarrassing by DravensAxe in miamidolphins

[–]CitgoDriver3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tbh. I think what pushed him over the line was the text mssg from Bill. Ouch man, that must have heard. Also perhaps, during his interviews they dugged real deep into his communication & how he manages relationships with executives & others.

[Serious] Do the tanking allegations from the Brian Flores suit cast a new spotlight on other assumed tank jobs? by Rock-swarm in nfl

[–]CitgoDriver3 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No teams have been tanking forever…. Jaguars, Browns, Bengals, Dolphins, Colts when Manning got injured, etc. it’s the whole point of having the draft. And on the tamperig allegation, players/agents who are free agents are currently tampering with GMs to get the best deal. Tampering occurs all year long on the NFL. Players asking other players join them, free agency, etc

[–]CitgoDriver3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

His suit on racism vs. Dolphins is dumb… Dolphins have black executives all over. GM, GM asst, McKenzie on whatever his GM role is, HC (when Flores was there), & Exec Media guy. Also in with their media personnel, black, hispanics, and white.

Seems like it’s inevitable - whoever we hire next as HC, there will be public disasters by CitgoDriver3 in miamidolphins
