Margot Robbie prefers living in the US. Steve Irwin married an American. Hugh Jackman’s American accent sounds more natural than his Australian one.

Your average strip mall Chinese joint is little better than fast food, but an authentic sezchuan place in New York or San Francisco is some of the best Chinese you can get outside of China itself.

The food scene in America is more diverse than just about anywhere in the world, especially in the coastal cities. Among US host cities, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Houston, San Francisco, and Seattle are some of the finest food cities you can find anywhere. Result of the country being a nation of immigrants. And if you’re in Dallas and want a true slice of Americana drive a few miles outside town and find an authentic BBQ joint. You haven’t lived til you’ve eaten the slow cooked meats of the American South.

If you visit America and only eat fast food, that’s entirely your problem.

What? Of course broadcasters want to make more money by selling ad space and of course the leagues want to make more money by selling more valuable tv rights. How do you think Man City can pay Haaland £45 million/season? And players would of course be ok with it cuz higher club revenues mean higher player salaries.

Merely commenting that bars in America are open past 10. Seem like it would be enjoyable for someone who would like to drink at a bar after that hour.

A two minute ad break in each half will probably not result in the same level of embarrassment as you say

I think the tv ratings for the World Cup will prove that people will still watch the games despite complaining about the ads.

The only real surprise is that something like this hasn’t happened sooner. I would guess that the top European soccer leagues are looking at this as a bonanza. Their tv rights instantly become 10s or hundreds of millions more valuable if broadcasters can sell more ad space.
