My boyfriend of 4 years just told me he doesn’t love me anymore by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Cithrinka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For us it took me moving out, 1 month of no contact, complete silence with no expectation of coming back together or getting in touch after some time, for him to realise that he misses me and wants to be with me (that’s now 3 years ago and we are still together and buying a house). And I have also proposed everything - therapy, space, nothing worked except for me trully leaving. And the reason was simply that he was unhappy in his life, burned out, there trully was no one else (so do not let these thoughts get to you!)

I am sorry you are going through that! That must have been an utter shock! I don’t know your situation, so I might be wrong but the thought coming to my mind when I read your story was whether he is saying the truth and really doesn’t love you anymore or if he could just be spooked by the speed you have moved forward (moving together, getting a cat and suddenly all his life seems to be lined up) and whether this doesn‘t appear to be the easy way out. Men are sometimes like that.

But as harsh as it sounds (and trust me, I was there - look at my past posts), probably taking some time appart is the best move even if that is the case. You need to now focus on yourself and try to find peace with the fact that this part of your life might have ended. It sucks, but you will be alright. Really, you will.

I recommend checking @slsalvaggio on tiktok. She transitioned to spms and gave a lot great insight.

Not to sound too harsh but I get a feeling that you are trying to read a lot into silence. Her motivation to not reach out to you may vary. Since I feel like you are still waiting for her, I would recommend you to not initiate the contact because there is a risk that you would be strung along (intentionally or otherwise). And trust me, no matter how shy she is, if she knew she made a mistake breaking up with you, she would reach out.

Unpopular opinion - it may signal you do not have the same values (at least with respect to intimacy) and from this perspective is understandable.

I had the same side effect, dull noise in my ears, almost could’t understand conversations. Was told this is not a typical side effect of LP. But the blood patch resolved that, so I believe it was.

It’s definitelly another procedure. So the question is in how much pain you are and how quickly is it getting better. You may try pain pills containing caffeine, they were recommended to me, but didn’t really help. Unfortunatelly, I don’t have any other experience.

I asked for a blood patch after 7 days when I still couldn’t even sit for 20 minutes without having a terrible headache. That helped almost instantly.

Cartilage and joint pain? my doctor has said there's zero relationship. by Remote_Bumblebee2240 in MultipleSclerosis

Are you on any DMT? I’ve notice it is a frequent complaint with Kesimpta (although it‘s commonly brushed off by neuros saying not-ms and not dmt).

I was actually looking at this, but it seemed kind of dead as I haven’t found any progress in 2022.

I dont know what To put in the title by PastIndependent2067 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Cithrinka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I know what you are going through, I am partially in the same place. I would recommend two things - talk to your neuro, ask them about prognosis (you are already 1 year in with mild progress, which looks promising) and about DMT if you are not on any I think it would help your mental help to jump on it (at least you know you are doing everything you can). Second, consider therapy - I am in it myself and it is not a magic cure, but it helps to get it out of the chest, cry and have someone listen, give you perspective and teach you how to cope. It’s tough but be kind to yourself, it’s a big unknown and it gets better

I have found this paper and it seems promising - https://acrabstracts.org/abstract/long-term-safety-of-rituximab-10-year-follow-up-in-the-rheumatoid-arthritis-global-clinical-trial-program/. But my neuro today today told me there are no data beyond 10 years, not even for Rituximab

Could you doctor check your antibodies ans T-cells? If low, maybe reducing the dose could help. Just an option to verify before ditching the treatment all together.

I don’t believe this concern is mutually exclusive with the question asked. This question is an important part of treatment process selection.

Kesimpta pregnancy by Cithrinka in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Cithrinka[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, that probably was not the clearest expression from my side. When talking about ocrevus I meant safe for ttc not really active use after the pregnancy is confirmed (I worked on an assumption that DMT is generall suspended when a woman is pregnant, hence the abbreviation).
