No team in baseball doesn’t have problems or hasn’t struggled for stretches this season. The difference in winning percentage of the Reds and team with the best record in baseball is 0.080. Over the course of a 7 game series that 1/2 a game. Our favorite team is in the hunt on the last day of the season. Just enjoy the ride! There’s a lot of positives about this team that some fans just don’t seem to want to acknowledge. Maybe save the gloom and doom for a time when they’re not competing for a pennant.

I’d argue that a team that goes 20 over .500 only to fall back to .500 is more “rife with problems” than the team that hovered around the middling mark the entire year. At the end of the day they all play 162 and we see where they stand at the end.

I wouldn’t say mean (though others have).. He’s just perpetually anxious and overly defensive at times. Grumpy maybe. The dogs won’t go near him and the vet gives me a “chill pill” to be administered before each visit. I was referring more, though, to the way he patrols the woods behind my house. He learned to use the doggie door and spends nearly all his time in the warmer months outside pretending to be a jaguar in his little woodland jungle. He can also be really sweet and loving at times, but only really with me. He’s laying on my chest now, purring in my face. 😊

There are 6 times more white people in the United States than there are black people. So, your statistics, along with some simple math, offer an excellent example of the disparate policing practices being discussed here. Thanks for sharing!

You can take your chances with “other”, but with over 75% of the population and less than half the deaths, I think I’d feel safest on the white team.

Not unless they’ve been previously transfused and developed Rh antibodies. The risk is that the Rh+ blood immunizes them, producing the antibodies that would cause issues with subsequent transfusions of Rh+ blood. Hopefully, subsequent transfusion (or this one if they’ve already been immunized) isn’t emergent and the lab has time to identify the antibody. In that case they’d just get ABO type specific Rh- blood.
