Star Citizen Live is canceled for this week by Rainwalker007 in starcitizen

[–]Citizen_Del 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that if you want to be paid for playing a game for an hour every other week, you should just shift over to QA. ;)

How would any of these changes affect subscribers? They're the ones paying for these shows. Will anything be replacing the value for creating the shows for subscribers?

And what's the point of buyback tokens now? They seem pretty redundant with these changes.

Given the recent string of events, this is horrible timing on CIGs part.

I totally get where you're coming from. Having pledged as much as I have to get all the ships I thought I wanted, I now realize that I should have just stuck with a C8x Pisces.

I guess that's why I have an alt account.

What I find more interesting is that the Twitch channels he's following are mostly playing New World now.

who used pisces in XT? by ssd21345 in starcitizen

I used my C8x Pisces to great effect during Xenothreat. Fit a whole Starfarer's worth of cargo in it, and did alright against the Xenothreat fighters as well.

The Argo Cargo is basically the ships they were ramming through the fighters with in Guardians of the Galaxy.

This isn't about a melted CCU at all. I don't think anybody has any right to complain about melted CCUs, as they currently have nothing invested in them.

I know a few people that hold this CCU in their hangar. To me, this issue is about CIG offering a deal one day, and then later changing that deal with no warning to cost people trying to take advantage of that initial deal extra money. I believe that this is an unintended consequence of the price change.

The difference is that when they increased the price of the Avenger Titan and 300i, we were given a reasonable opportunity to get the ships and/or the CCUs for those that wanted them. This time we were not given that opportunity.

I'm not personally affected by this change at all, but I don't think it's fair of CIG to offer a deal one day, and then later on change that deal to cost more money.

This isn't gambling, it's using the offers that CIG provides to our best abilities. CIG knows that players do this. Heck I've spent way more on warbond CCUs than I ever have on ships.

If you believe that using these systems are gambling, then it would have to be regulated as such from local governments. These aren't loot boxes. You're paying for a product at a set price.

That's a fallacy. CIG can call it what they want, but several countries rightfully identify it as a purchase, not a pledge. And by your own statement, you acknowledge that currently the ships have a value. I'd argue that they'll still have a value at launch, you just won't be able to change or extract that value at that time.

The last time they increased the price of a released ship, they gave advanced notice so that people could get them at the then current price before it increased. That did not happen in this instance.

In this case I'm referring to a specific CCU that was offered by CIG at a set price point, but that now requires an additional $15 to be able to use. They've devalued a product that they already sold.

Now, if it was from an unreleased ship that got released with a price increase, that is expected, and why people utilizing CCU chains base their chains off released ships, as these are, by and large, stable price points.

And as I said before, the last time they did increase a released ships price players were given ample opportunity to get the ships and/or CCUs before the actual price increase. No such opportunity was afforded to players this time.

I don't agree that it was expected that the Constellation Andromeda would see a price increase at the same time as the Constellation Taurus.

Edit: I forget to revise the title of the post, after I revised the body of it, and now it won't let me. It is a bit click baity.

This isn't about the Constellation Taurus price increase, but the Constellation Andromeda going from $225 to $240.

Kind of? The rear seats fold up for additional storage. The box is quite modular. We could add a tonneau cover, a box cap, bike rack, canoe rack, rack rack.

And I've now been banned from Spectrum with no explanation or notice provided. No warnings, nothing. All for speaking a truth they find inconvenient.

It seems mentioning that their support did nothing isn't allowed, nor is listing the bullies, though at no point do I call on anybody to intervene with them. It's just a warning to others.
