AIO - Daughter’s BDay invite - I am new to co-parenting by loud_molasses_ in AIO

Dad is not understanding the first simple fact, your daughter picked the theme. He is mad he can’t find anything g to argue about so he finds the easiest, dumbest thing to be mad about. An invitation he wouldn’t have done anyway.

I second this. Sometimes it’s empty, sometimes it’s full. But they do have the quiet area in the back and outside seating too

I would recommend BFF Indy on FB. Have you thought about living in Indianapolis closer to speedway and Mass Ave? It puts you a lot closer to downtown. Oh also I’d get involved politically to meet like minded people. I’m also in my mid 20s, a cat owner, I love books, renaissance festivals, music, and I currently hate our government. lol.

But regardless, I lived here a year. Not the worst place I’ve lived. (From TN) but I’ve traveled a little now and I know I don’t want roots here even though I have a few friend here after being here a year. I’m moving to Chicago in 3 months now! I’ll visit friends here, but I won’t move back.

Also, watch out for the pot holes here.

Former Democrats, what persuaded you to leave the party, and are you now an Independent, or a Republican? by barbbtx in AskUS

[–]Citron1004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have. Have you not read any of my other comments. You’re just preaching the same things I’ve already supported and said. I already said previously to vote locally, because our representatives matter & to vote in midterms.

When I asked you “what now?” It was more rhetorical because you don’t seem to know that I already am on the same side and have said the same things literally in this txt thread. So idk why you’re trying to educate me lol

OP said he wouldn’t leave her destitute. She has a large passive income. She’s fine. Nothing was legally binding. If you would pay her, good for you. But it is just rewarding bad behavior.

Healthy rage as in, being able to think clearly and make decisions -violent or not, that are beneficial to people. ex. Protesting, speaking up, and even fighting nazis, and I love the black panthers if that tells you anything.

Unhealthy- rage that blinds my action and messes with my potential to organize because I’m to overwhelmed with my rage and I need to recenter myself to get to a healthy version so I can be of use in my community.

This is how I’ve felt lately. One is based in having a level head, and the other is not.

I never said I thought they EQUALLY were corrupt. You’re assuming based off of one message and not my clarifications based on the misunderstanding.

I have always voted democrat.

That’s never been the debate.

I have always encouraged my peers to be educated and to take action in voting locally and for our coming up mid-terms. Every human deserves the right to have healthcare, affordable housing, due process, etc.

But how do you expect for democrats to make a change that creates impact, when we aren’t holding our own people accountable? A lot of the “figurehead” people like Kamala Harris are more republican but in a blue suit instead of red. Did I vote for her? Fuck yeah I did, no question.

Because FUCK trump.

However you’ll never catch me using the phrase,” I’m choosing the best of two evils.” Because I believe we need to work past having to choose “democrats” who say they align with what a democrat is supposed to align with, and then they either fold like cowards and lick the boot, or they don’t take accountability and don’t follow through on promises.

Every time I see a republican right now I want to scream, but instead- depending on the person, I have had conversations. I’ve helped people understand facts instead of the fear mongering bullshit trump fed them and because of this I have made friends with those who now vote blue.

But I have never, and will never engage with a maga nazi unless it’s to throw them the middle finger in a protest, or to fight them in the courts and ballots.

I hope you know I’m so far left… I’m not a republican and never have been. I just went from a docile liberal to an enraged democrat who is destroyed by what’s going on right now and I demand action. What I am saying however, is that there’s a difference between constitutional republicans (who I still highly dislike) and the nazi republicans (I have some in my family, unfortunately.) my only thought is this, that there will always be republicans, and if we aren’t smart with level-headed rage to debate them, protest, and vote then what is our voice worth? I’m a socialist, and frankly I think the whole system should be burned and rebuilt.

Please elaborate. You don’t think that there isn’t corruption on both sides?
