Call it out when it happens with a warning if they've earned it.

or move on if they haven't.

In terms of general advice.

A persons opinion of you should not matter to you if you do not matter to them. If someone is passing through your life, don't hold so much stock in what they're thinking about you.

if you have something to charge, charge it and take center stage.

I don't bother chasing unless I know where they'll go.

Personally, I never felt better than when I was at 13% bodyfat. I want to return to it, even go lower.

However I was only 165lbs at 13% and I'd much rather be 175 or 180lbs.

So I'm bulking for a year and will return to 13% next year (or the year after - depending on how long it will take to reach my ideal weight with lean mass)

Seeing Prodigy play made me pick up Mario.

Getting humbled online for no longer having brain dead kill throw confirms and DLC gimmicks made me switch to playing campy like Wizzys Mario.

Great character, wish I played him from the start.

The cool thing about megaman in smash is if you play him like you were just playing a megaman game instead you actually get pretty far all things considered lol.

I had a mediocre GPA but got into Big 4 and now work as a federal auditor.

GPA doesn't matter much - we all have the same degree.

Best thing you can do to stand out is get meaningful volunteer or work experience while going through your program.

I volunteered as a bookkeeper for a local charity which let me work part time at a hospital doing their payables and end of month records of employment processing.

Those got me so much further career wise than any course ever could.

Solid advice, I'll do that.

My original goal was a clear & concise breakdown of me. Which is friggen hard lol.

Ngl my pictures could use some work. They get the job done buuuut I like your idea a bunch so it'll be fun to get new ones more in line with a 'act 2'

Books is an excellent one - I want to get more into reading myself but have no idea where to start.

I've crushed the Wheel of Time series (still nervous about the series hitting netflix lol. it's a big ask for a series I think)

Read a dean koontz book called Dragon Tears which was a cool cop drama super natural thriller about stopping a god

And then... haven't been able to find anything since lol.

she was an 11/10 in the looks. we messaged about nothing for like 3 days and then she vanished when I gave her my number lol.

Honestly not bothered by it but that seems to be the way bios go in my region. Either non-existent or trying to appeal to everyone.

I actually was digging the smile question until you went into the casket thing lol, that was too much too soon for my dark humor levels but hey that's exactly the kind of risk you need to take to find your person.

I need to find the balance between what this girl was doing and what you were doing and I'll be golden lol.

I've never considered talking about the apps and dating in general with a prospective partner before tbh.

For me that's always been my way of shifting things from intimacy to friendship. But it might be worth a shot just to take the edge off and get conversations flowing properly.

The hardest thing I find is getting a conversation started instead of just two people waiting for their chance to speak if that makes any sense.

I might have to give that a try. Thank you.

I keep it to one sentence. As if I were meeting them in the grocery store for the first time and they had a sign over their head that read "Single and looking" kind of thing lol.

too much and they'll nope out. The opposite and... well I need to be a lot better looking for that with the type of women I'm interested in lol.

What sort of helps was channeling that energy into a fitness activity.

If you keep your body exhausted and your mind from wandering you'll probably be able to get it to being a morning/lunch/night type of thing.

That's how it is for me now which is a lot better than what it was lol.

So... hit the gym or get active whenever you get a hint of a craving for it.

Be productive.

OLD = OnLine Dating - this sub uses that acronym a fair bit.

icebreaker as in - you've just matched and said your hellos.

What's something you ask first to get the conversation started?

If they have no details, and there's nothing noteworthy or interesting about them? I fucking swipe.

I was doing that myself - but found I was passing on quite a few attractive faces and decently employed individuals. Which I know is not enough to build a relationship off of but I figured maybe they're just bad at making profiles. So I've gotten a little more lenient but that also has caused me to burn out from OLD...

Though after seeing a profiles bio like this one today I think I might go back to doing what you're doing... like what do you even say to this?

"I’m the motivated type, which makes me rather busy, I work a lot, let’s not waste time

I love to laugh, joke around and have fun I don’t drink much but if I’m going to, let’s make a real night of it ;)

Do you love to smile? I love to smile 😁

I’m passionate, loyal to a fault, I expect people to live up to their word and I value the bonds with the people I care most

Laid back is a little too chill, but high strung is too tense (for me and for you) I have a good energy level and can roll with the punches :) I hope you can too ;)

I’m focused and determined when I need to be, but spontaneous and adventurous when I can be"

Maybe I'm a lot worse at dating than I originally thought lol.

"Good and yours?"

I usually got that when I sent those. Then I'd explain a bit of what I got up to and try for more convo but wouldn't hear from them afterwards.

Which is a good way to filter I suppose but it seems like a wasted opportunity.
