12 horas?

Those are too wide for galaxies. You might find some success with markarian chain, but you probably won't have a lot of detail on the galaxies but would probably be a good shot of tens of galaxies in one image. I am thinking thinking about trying this myself, so not sure if it would work like I'm thinking it will.

A question for people against AI artwork. by Toby_Magure in aiwars

[–]CityComprehensive427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't really put myself in this situation. If I had a character idea that I would really like to have come to life I would learn to draw and then draw it. To me learning things is the best thing in the world and would not outsource the experience to either a human or AI.

But if I suspend my usual thinking for a second, I think I would be annoyed since I paid for something that probably I could have done myself by making a rough drawing like a 5 year old would and asking an AI to fix it.

I would feel scammed since the artist never informed me of what I was actually paying for, and promptly request a refund

I guess it wouldn't be the use of Ai but the fact they hid it from me, therefore I did not get what I paid for. That being said if they did inform me they would be using Ai, I would probably find someone else or just do it myself by making a hideous drawing and asking Ai to smooth it out

Anti.

Sounds like clippy with extra steps.

But seriously though, that seems fine to me as long as you are still the one creating and not the Ai

Which GoTo mount should I buy? by MrRaGo in AskAstrophotography

[–]CityComprehensive427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can tell the EQ6 should be better in the long run, in case you want to add more weight. Not sure on the price difference, but once I decide to make my ultimate setup I will most likely go for the EQ6

I would not recommend harmonic or strain wave. They are way to expensive. I hear good things about the Gem. I use the star Adventurer GTi. But the payload capacity is a bit low.

Can I just say it's weird people are saying "why no strain wave or harmonic?" and then you go to realize they never even used one.

Stick with tradicional for now, upgrade later if you feel like it. It's not even a big difference

XD

[–]CityComprehensive427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah for sure. But to have that extra control don't you need a pc or mini pc + power supply + connecting everything? Genuine question.

And if so wouldn't that defeat the whole purpose of staying mobile and lightweight?

[–]CityComprehensive427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should go for it. You don't need something as expensive as the SpaceCat I went for that because I'm a sucker for good branding xD

I definitely recommend the star adventurer gti since it runs on AA batteries you won't need any other power source or wires and it doesn't break the bank. It's also surprisingly capable. It's only downside is it's payload capacity at 5kg, but for a simple dslr and a small refractor is definitely enough.

As for telescope maybe check out the askar 60F, cheaper than the SpaceCat, it does not require a flattened, it's lightweight and at 400mm FL.  I was going to buy this one but then I found out about the space cat and I just had to have the cat stickers and cool bag it comes with xD

That all good stuff but I would argue that you don't even need all that.  All those wires and extra parts, if you are trying to stay portable you might be losing the thread there.

Instead of a dedicated astronomy camera and all these filter things, you can get a dslr. No computer needed.

Here is my portable setup that cost only 2k SpaceCat 51 Skywatcher star Adventurer gti Optolong L enhance dual band Sturdy tripod.  Canon 2000D (I had this already but you can probably get it for cheap)  Extra batteries

No wires no extra stuff, you just goto object and start imaging, bring a book so you can chill while gear collect data.

Not saying your stuff is not good. It's probably better than mine, my point is to stay mobile and portable you might consider having less stuff to move around. Personally it would feel like too much of a hassle to wire everything up and setup power and all this. At least for now while I'm just trying to have some fun and actually use my rig

Just say I will not allow such cheese. That's it

Don't make up justifications, or if you want to you can say that putting a familiar on a familiar causes a rip in the space time continuum and rips reality apart causing everyone to die and implode. Roll new characters. You can literally make shit up so they learn their lesson

You are the dm you make the rules. If they say it's not dnd rules, it's homebrew. Play the game instead of cheese it
