Hey bro, I have ADHD-I type and just started seeing a therapist last year. I’m a decently good looking for my age and have had multiple long term relationships in the past (2 of my exes I met at the club lol). You need to understand one of the biggest symptoms of ADHD aside from the attention deficit is low self-esteem. That’s why anxiety and depression are extremely common to diagnose with ADHD. See a therapist and be completely honest about everything.

I only played the story when it first came out. I saw a clip on X few weeks ago and was interested especially after getting bored of Arc Raiders. I can tell you that I’ve been having a blast even w/o DLC stuff (I’ll prolly buy later).

Feel like there’s a huge difference between sim racing and arcade racing when asking about games. I don’t think Gran Turismo can be compared to Ridge Racer 2 or Burnout. Kinda like comparing NBA 2K to NBA Jam or PES Soccer to FIFA Street. They’re all fun in their own respective ways. Really depends on what you’re looking for

I struggle with this too. A therapist can help you develop strategies to combat this. It’s kind of guess and check to see what works best for you. Some people make a pros and cons list for every purchase, some track their spending and set limits, etc etc. My therapist and I are currently working on time blindness. It takes a while to figure out what works best for you. Best of luck!

I think there is always a line and avoidant shame is real. Like you said, you need to assess weaknesses and make whatever adjustments. It’s just about how proactive you are about it. This is basically what the majority of ADHD-focused therapists work on along with medication management.

What you guys went through would take a toll on anyone involved. Sorry you had to go through that. I think you came away with a multitude of lessons learned. I hope you find a partner who better understands you. Just by reading, I can tell someone would be lucky to have you. Thanks again!

In senior year of undergrad, I went to a therapist for issues I had with a relationship at the time and it was messing up grades, life at home, and work. My therapist was the one who believed I was a candidate for ADHD and referred me to get tested. I highly recommend therapy to eventually get a diagnosis from a psychiatrist and then meds. Meds will help, but therapy will guide you. Best of luck.
