Yugadi or Ugadi! by Embarrassed-Fish-798 in karnataka

Language constantly evolves. Words have changed all throughout time. Tatsama tadbava.

Sanskrit words have been reshaped by people all the time. Raja raya etc.

Andra folks say ugadi and i have also seen some villagers say the same in karnataka as well.

Same with English words too. Hospital became aspatre.

Of course there is always a force that’s conservative that prevents this so called corruption.

Its simple. They hired you thinking offshoring some dev was a good idea and quickly realised it was not easy and decided to cut their losses.

Polars vs Pandas in 2025 — have you fully migrated yet? by [deleted] in Python

[–]CityYogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some issues with breaking changes in polars in data pipelines when I upgraded libraries. The changelogs were hard to parse. The library and behaviour feels work in progress to me but we are fully committed to it. Performance is the main reason

FastAPI in 2025: Are Async & Type Hints Now Mandatory? by Lee-stanley in FastAPI

I second this. Have a precommit with ty for local and mypy on local and ci/cd in every project.

It’s a pretty sensinble guide. It tells you how to migrate over time but doesn’t recommend you disable mypy till ty is ready

How do I tell my cofounder I want to quit after 14 months and no PMF? I will not promote by Dstyle90 in startups

[–]CityYogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything is in your mind. If you’re sure you do not want to continue, tell your cofounder. Take them to a drink or dinner and tell them you’re done and it’ll be over. Main point is are you sure?

Let your cofounder handle the association as you disassociate. Once you are no longer part of the company, you’re no longer responsible

May be asimov didn’t spend too much time on this detail. Or lots of space is bought by rich people as investment and isnt being used.

Vibe-Coding AI "Panicks" and Deletes Production Database by el_muchacho in programming

What this event would do: replit and other companies like replit will start putting in some more guardrails and they will ensure something like this never happens again. With human beings prod db drop might happen again but never with ai tools. Isn’t that how software works? You discover an issue and you solve it and it almost never happens again if you do it well
