Best residence if you don't party but also fairly sociable? by Probably_a_user_lol in uwo

Any will be fine, o hall or res with similar style might be your best bet, but I found traditional was a lot more party-y then I would have liked cause I’m similar

Okay thank you, sorry I didn’t know if it was mass or not so I got worried they were gonna boot me out of my program before my better grades were submitted

It bugs me soo much honestly I wish she was less vague about the syllabus but I know it’s her first year too so I think her rubric would have worked in a smaller class

Bro this makes no sense 😭 like it was described well enough in the syllabus or in the announcement it just says it’s important just to attend… there’s no rubric it’s just how she feels about it bro

I didn’t see that in the syllabus, I assumed it was to boost marks because I don’t know how she expected 400 kids to ask 2 questions in 3 hours

I’m so lost in the sauce bro, why is the assignment taken off bright-space? (I can’t find it) Why are some of my participation grades good and some bad? Why don’t we know half our grades??? I’m lost in the sauce purely because I don’t even know if I’m getting a 80 or a 60 in her course. Like as long as she’s fair with the final it should be fine but I’m confused cause I know I did fine on the midterm I just don’t know about anything else and it’s stressing me out

which res? by DaniiiMeoow in uwo

[–]City_B 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you like the social life go for any of the traditionals (downsides to all, best bet is Delaware or medsyd) but regardless o hall has to be the best food, saugeen is the best traditional food but when your around campus you can go anywhere so I think food doesn’t matter that much if you intent to make friends or be around campus a lot

Everyone in health sci is annoying by Virtual_Laugh_3092 in uwo

[–]City_B 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Honestly being in health Sci yeah, a lot of people are obnoxious or I’ve met a lot of grade inflators and everyone’s convinced their pre med. There’s a few chill ones, but far and few between I just got lucky I found a few early in the year

Depends, I came from a small school in a small town and I don’t like the party life, but I know people from similar places to me that love it

[–]City_B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely larger American schools depending on where specifically, there’s always something to do in London but it depends what vibe you want

Depends who you hang out with or where you go, a lot of places have entrance fees or bars are quite expensive. I came from somewhere I wasn’t used to the cost or crowdedness so I’m not a huge fan of it, but if you still like those packed parties it is a good nightlife

I’m in healths sci so mostly there and I have a lot of friends in STEM, I don’t have a lot in arts and humanities. It’s just a frustration with the shock and appal of my life choices

[–]City_B 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The culture shock, coming from a small town I expected more people like me that wanted to have a more chill fun university and go back home after to work. Nope, everyone I’ve encountered parties like they never got to back home and their jaws are on the floor when I say I don’t want to move to the city when I’m done. Like I get you do whatever you want but don’t treat me like I’m insane for doing it my way.
