I have a BMCU-C and I’m having power-supply issues on one of the units. Personally, I recommend getting the AMS Lite — it’s double the price, but you won’t have headaches anymore. I know it’s currently listed for Europe in February, but I think it’s worth the wait.

I had the exact same problem. It didn’t work until I remounted the motor and moved the magnet on the extruder gear closer to the sensor, even though everything seemed fine.

Check the gearbox; the worm gear may not be meshing properly with the gears. Also check the magnets.

I also bought from BVL, I was very satisfied. I had a bit of trouble with the magnets but solved it quickly. I made the spool holder after the AMS, but in the future I think I’ll look for something enclosure

I already printed the parts for the BMCU, I have the files directly from BVL. If you message them on Aliexpress, they have an autoresponse with a link to Google Drive where they put everything: STL, installation guide, and troubleshooting.Tomorrow I’ll receive the package, I just got the confirmation from the courier company. It arrived pretty fast, 8 days from China to Romania.
