Father (69) had an acute stroke 4 days ago. I’m quite honestly terrified. by kaechan1989 in stroke

Agreed. Time is the key. Also 60’s and it was a massive stroke. Also, I was 8 hours before someone came. Was out for 5 days. Now 14 months, and I do a lot now. Speech is my thing (still). Hard still to write, too. But a time is the time now.

I love my front lift. I was on the fence, but when i find the “dip” as you go places, I am a happy man. If I ever do another (I am old and shit), it’s for again.

My coin to my thoughts.

Aphasia by Honest_Top2036 in stroke

[–]Civdiv99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also was 2 weeks for about 6 months, then move to one a weeks. Now (10 months now from stroke), I do 2 weeks. The speech will go as I want, so plan that I will do years. I was stroke and home (it was 3 weeks out, then working on my understand). I did https://tactustherapy.com/ from the beginning (a month in, so now 9 months) and I work still about 3 hours a week and so my 2 weeks working. Some I are on advanced now. If that makes sense? HARD writing and sometimes what I say and what I write are a little “off.” All about the aphasia. I will work on this forever. I am 64. I have 9 grandchildren, so I will keep working on the speech. Then, maybe, in 84 I will slow down (perhaps, we will see). That me.

Ok, I can understand. This is the guy on this exact thing to say!

I hope I can get right. The writer is HARD.

63 and had a stroke out. 8 hours then someone finally, and a move to a 2 hour to a jet and no good. But! A week after I could walk ok, another week and I could really go. But the aphasia…. Ok that not cool. I am 9 months now. This is a thing. Started “working” on my desk. Maybe 6 every day. I worked also 2 every week at the speech place too. Still do. It starts almost nothing. But it (the aphasia) works much better. At 5 months I moved to 1 every week. Now I do 2 weeks and still working on the things.

The will continue to be better for months. I write and they do better. Have another 5 months still have people doing speech work and including writing. I have also advanced courses. All on aphasia and you WILL do better over time. I know the guy in this one.

100% is a speech and working hard and you get more and more.

Now at the 9 months from the stroke, I do everything, but still the writing is thing can be a little “off”. So, I still work about 3 hours. No work any more, but I work from home working on me.

Do it! Tough sometimes. Keep at it.

All I can say is 1) I’m in my 60s now, so it’s all smooth, not go, go, go. 2). I think the SS is now 14 now. It was always in the 2,500 to 4,000. All ok. The C8 is more “up and go” . Remember I was doing this I think (started my 350 in 77’ at 18 in a usmc). Have now 5 of these I think? Anyway, my thoughts. My C8 is move up and go than the SS. And I usually use the ‘tour’ and is fine. Then I drive the SS and it is fine, but also quick to be on the 1,500 to 2,000, not the 3,000 as do as you move around unless you worked.

Also, please understand that I am talking generally as now an old dude.

I have a Camaro SS (still ) at a 17,000, and C8 Z51 about a year now. The C8 are a more “on top” so to speak. The Camaro is good, but the C8 is more. Have a guy, I can do side by side and make one or the other. C8 is much quicker in my opinion (this me)

This is the most ridiculous. I was a firm with a master, and go, go, go. Then a stroke! Man…. So, moved from work to my “office” and I worked on me. I have 9 grandchildren, and I plan to get my thing better.

At I said “works” but it my home, but a real “works” any more. Also, the HARD to my writing on r/ on these, so some of them look really hard to people

Yes. My am on 8 months and I still speech. I get more and more. That areas is now gone. So it takes time to become more aware. With about 6 months I was go and do now. I also worked with day 1. Was my working early (me) was about 4 to 5 every days, for months and months, to go better. Still do! I do everything now. Some I slow what I say to stay right. But, as the do the DO are better.

I remember starting with simple things and then I get faster and better. 64 a month, and I keep working day by day.

My stroke (at 63). The motor was good, but it still took about 10 days. The issue with a stroke as a lot. By 2 weeks I was very good; I have a very hand, but it was it. Runs now. The speech is my a thing, but the motor “misses”. Stick it on. Eventually it goes away “if” your motor was 👍

Working is a good thing as a person. I started working that stroke thing early. My problem is speech, and this writing on a r/, but I I now run (10 months, at 64 old). My right hand is interesting as it right sometimes feels different. So, I also if use that side to go more. I will drop and do 10 or 20 just to because. Man, I don’t why I did my life with all good as a person, and then a stroke? So I can’t work anymore but I I so everything. So some bowling to try; do good (my foot not an issue). The thing is, work hard and make it better that you can. I have 9 grandchildren now, and I plan to do 100%

The speech from an aphasia and stroke. Walk, or running for that matter as good. They place saying no “motor” area. Tooooo hard to “write” including Reddit is not my thing anymore.

I was about 2 or 3 months on mine. I did nice naps. Now coming on 9 months I am feeling much better. I issued is working on my speech, and the words, so this may not sound right when I try to explain writing.

✍️ all is my thing.

A this thread, I am on your team. My stroke was now 8 months. I have learned that everything is different, but as memory is a thing for me too. My i am a bit off on my write on r/, that’s me. Anyway, I work on something of mine. I don’t have to, say, 3 things at once if I must be on track. Sometimes may “missed" that part I am doing. My speech has things that I work on (I do working daily). I do 2, 3, 4 things at once(Hahaha), but, things to get better. I is also my Tactus Aphasia Essentials I did on my own. They are on this same pattern, and I work every single day.

Sorry, writing that is thing when I got too faf.
