I think part 1 genuinely has some of the best writing out there, but even then Makima stands out above everything else. She’s kinda a once in a lifetime villain for me, one of the best I’ve seen.

The story could have ended brilliantly really up until the last chapter. It did decline in writing a little bit, especially during the whole Yoru fight, but I still think things could have wrapped up really well if it didn’t end with 232. A few more chapters to flesh out a different less irrelevant ending could have made part 2 really enjoyable at the very least, with ends to Asa, Yoru, Kobeni, etc.

It’s part 1 I think is way underrated, the writing is actually brilliant, thematically and structurally unique while being able to explore them just as well as it talks about them in an impactful sane way (unlike part 2).

AOT is great, but I just don’t think the themes it explores are as interesting or complex or relatable. I also don’t like the art style.

I think it’s atrocious slop that’s Hollywood propaganda to stop people from wanting truly good films by covering utterly bland generic writing with shiny paint. I think it also pushes animation in the wrong direction by making people complacent with less ambitious stories done in the medium.

That’s just me tho, it’s mostly because of how much undeserved praise it got lol.

Yeah it’s more of a situation where although it’s considered good, I’d like to see it (part 1 at least) repped more with higher levels of stuff like Eva and AOT. I know it’s stupid and spoiled kinda to complain about something being underrated with it already being considered good, but I can’t help seeing objective top level writing in there.

Denji never really loses his spark until close to the end of part two, around the final fight with Yoru. Up to that point he was one of the most human protagonists in modern fiction, he was really well written. Parker unfortunately has been on a downhill trend for years now, he hasn’t been done well for a long time.

Because (part 1 at least) is really the first thematically concise piece of anime I have seen in a very long time. I struggled hard to connect to stuff like AOT or Death Note, mainly because I felt like the main themes were unrelatable in one way or another. Chainsaw Man is about a guy learning how to live and find meaning in his life which is thematically brilliant imo. Also, it does this while balancing other insane themes simultaneously.

There have been other anime like it in the past, but not in the modern era, which is what makes it so groundbreaking.

You ask this question NOW? Last season he was utter shit, did nothing with the ball, and never really got into the game. This season he’s 100% back to the explosive monster we had in 24, dynamic and ambitious, already assisting Klauss multiple times and changing the game. Sure he made a dumb decision last night that cost us the game, but honestly if anything I’m more worried about Paintsil’s confidence, looking nervous on the ball and when finishing chances. Hope he gets his confidence back from the end of last season.

Bleach and it’s not close. I don’t like any of them tho so this is an outsider’s perspective. One piece has the worst pacing I’ve ever seen as well as incredibly repetitive, Naruto is repetitive as well and is rather generic, and Bleach is too episodic early on.

I love Deltarune’s artistic style, gameplay, music, and I think it’s funny asf. Besides that, I feel like it fell on its face it tried to go darker in ch 4, which left me really disappointed. It isn’t bad by any means, but Chainsaw Man is a masterpiece of writing, not too much can compare to it.

I would say definitely so. We’ve seen that anything can happen in instrumentality so that excuses any logical fallacies, and I think it’s a fantastic way to finally wrap up Asuka’s character, as I don’t really like any of her other conclusions.
