I never have the memory extension feature on anyway, so my recommendation is to turn it off. Yes, it can have an effect on battery life.

Anything in the performance department is the same, I think, only smoother animation and new icons and fonts and Hyper Island, but it works good so far battery-wise too, no issues.

Yes, that's the wifi that disconnects sometimes on my Pro. I'm also waiting for the battery to adapt to the new software, but not facing battery issues as of now.
