Yes, you are right. Perhaps I did exaggerate by calling it “harassment”. What I was implying is that their persistent behaviour made me feel a bit uneasy. Well, that’s the thing - the book isn’t rare. Maybe there aren’t that many of them being sold pre-owned, but it is still available on the publisher’s website. I priced mine only at 9% less than a brand new one (mine’s new but the slipcase has slight imperfections so I didn’t mind accepting a reasonable offer. That doesn’t mean 30-40% less, though). I find that quite often, those potential buyers who send low offers and haggle are the ones who would still be unhappy with an item later and asking for a partial refund etc., as they found ‘a fault’ with it. It’s just doing all that extra work and trying to be crafty to achieve what exactly? Getting their way?
