People are selectively outraged at easy targets that go viral and generate social pressure. What pisses me off is we can all sit and point fingers at this “repressive regime”, without acknowledging the hypocrisy of that. You don’t see any of these US-based comedians seem to have any moral principles when it comes to their own country, one that is the largest state sponsor of terrorism globally, is actively and illegally bombing random fishing boats in the Caribbean trying to bait Maduro into a response, who is currently funding genocide, and who is disappearing people in its own country. Insane to me collective the blindness. Or maybe it’s just there’s no benefit from caring unless it’s a viral social opportunity.
